Ich weiß gar nicht mehr, wie oft ich dieses Prachtexemplar von Maxi gehört habe. Eine von meinen All Time Favorits. Bin selber im Besitz dieses Glanzstücks, an dem man sich einfach nicht satt hören kann, wie auch diverse Andere von FGTH.

12.04.2019,im 49, born 03.05.1969,taurus,yes,but,when this came out,my friends and i stays at night at my parents home,haha,then i put out this maxisingle,and believe me,that was 1986,no one cant believe me what im doing that night...the looks at their faces i will never forget,greets from northern germany....btw,men and woman where in my room,we all loved that

@Olli Panzerknacker Na, dann sind wir immerhin nicht verwandt :) Es war die Großzeit der Maxiversionen. NDR1 sendete damals samstagmorgens seine "Hitparade". In regelmäßigen Abständen gab es denn auch eine "Maxi-Ausgabe": Es wurden nur Tracks gesendet, deren Maxiversion sich von der Singleversion unterschieden. "Rage Hard" war mit gut 12 Minuten freilich eine Herausforderung. Dennoch wurde (heute undenkbar) die volle Vesion gesendet. Zum Glück hatte ich an diesem Samstag die Schule geschwänzt und mein Tonband zur Aufnahme bereit... :) Aber sag Olli, wo hast du diesen Track zum ersten Mal gehört?

@@AS-fl8uh Die Band Frankie Goes To Hollywood war vor allem auch politisch. Und das zu einem perfekten Zeitpunkt: Gegen das irrsinnige Wettrüsten und gegen die globale (AIDS-Pandemie bedingte) Homophobie! Die brillanten Arrangements ihrer Sounds würde ich eher Trevor Horn zuordnen. Man rufe sich das Album "Slave To The Rhythm" (Grace Jones, 1985) in Erinnerung. Ebenfalls von Trevor Horn produziert und unter anderem als "Längste Maxi der Welt." bezeichnet. Und ebenfalls großartig!

I can´t believe that one of the best 12" EVER DONE, is not in ANY official cd release yet... I have a few FGTH compilation cds, with various versions of Rage Hard, but none of those is this one... I even looked in other compilations that I don't have, and it's not there either... We have to be thankful that we can listen to it here

NO ONE should interfere/intervene with FGTH. I've been a die-hard fan since the early '80s (yeahhhhhhh I'm probably older than everyone here...so? hahahah), and it kills me when people try to church it up the way this one was. The purity of their voices, carried and rocked the song. Welp. Can't go back to the '80s, as much as I wish we could. And we can't send THESE idiots ....anywhere but here. Trevor Horn goodalike. I where in Hannover, was it 1987? not sure. It was legendary. We didn't know anything about homosexual things that time as we were 20 year old kids. One of the best events I ever took from the music scene.
