I like how the lyrics/ alphys says, “This is not a cartoon, this is me facing you.” It makes it sound real, and serious, although this really is just a game.

For this song, I imagine Alphys piloting a giant battle mech fighting against a genocidal Flowey, and I imagine that battle mech being visibly made from junked appliances and machines found in the garbage dump, so the line (Hi there, here I am.) (The _literal_ trash.) has an extra layer of meaning. :)
