I completely believe it. If you listen to these lyrics, he's actually not really talking about his genuine feelings for her. Mostly, he's talking about how good it feels being wanted and admired by her. The only time he actually compliments her, its about her "shape and weight." But he never spends a moment talking about how she makes him feel. He keeps saying "tell me" this "tell me" that. The only time he says I love you is in the context of asking her how it feels. This whole song is just him going "PLEASE STROKE MY EGO I NEED IT!" Seems like the same fuckboy to me.

The album Blurred Lines is a big departure from his previous releases musically... It has become to pop oriented. Not the Robin Thicke that I loved from Evolution and Sex Therapy eras.

I'm 68 yrs. Old and my sister who was 8 yrs older listened to r and b. We are a white family but I fell in love with the r and b sound referred to as "soul" back in 1965. It never changed for me. I loved Earth Wind and Fire, Isley Bros, Marvin Gaye, etc. My husband went to MSA in Indy and we were 2 of 4 white people in the stands. It was a wonderful night. Nobody treated us differently because of our skin color. We had such a great time and the concert was outstanding. Will never forget. Robin Thicke has that soulful sound and his music is beautiful. His love songs can take u to beautiful places in your life with special people u loved. Thanks Robin. Make more music! We love you!!❤ back then we didnt have internet. Had to drive to Indy 50 miles one way to music stores and hope u could find a cassette tape of a band u loved. Nothing could be found in small towns. Today it's great to hear just about any tune u want with the click of keys on a device. Yeah!! Thank u everyone who post this great music. Prince was a genius. I always loved him but learned so much more about him after his death. RIP PRINCE❤. GOD BLESS U.

He has a lot of soulful songs like this, but blurred lines was most likely to get more publicity. This song was actually very poplar when it was first released, but not as big as blurred lines turned out to be. He has albums full of greats like this tho
