i want to disagree my champion is and still will be BREZ because he has done so much to be in every(!) gbb event (since 2019), but unfortunately he is always unlucky 😢

for me NME vs Rythmind is still the best finale, but this as a superclose 2nd. 2021 was a bit weak in comparison

and how long ago was this German Championship? I see what your saying but if it was Year+ ago just look at the progression of GBB in general. Last GBB was Battel Hard Drops left and right and this year was more precise, methodical and simply perfectly played performances we have not seen in freaking years let alone more than 1 looper doing it consistently each round (Robin and AVH). Not the best drops this year but the talent . . . . Blown away . . . Exception was Robins first round against Dice. No one saw that coming hahaha.

I mean with the mk2, doing cleaner, more artistic music is possible compared to before, and i'm pretty sure that's one of the arguments that made him change his point of view on it

Agreed. Finals in beatbox tend to be somewhat disappointing but I thought this final was really good. I've seen some people criticize it cause "it didn't feel like a battle." While I do appreciate a good battle oriented round (like Bizkit's 2nd round against Mirsa) what really matters is the music being performed and in that regard they both killed it.

Yeah loopers tend to use their strongest routines up front, leaving weaker round towards the end. Robin and Matej made wise choices to use their popular previously well loved and well practiced routines, so it was more of a show of love than a battle.

The og blindfold is better honestly

@@abhisheknair8437 have you seen reggie watts? he's soo good at freestyle loopstation and Marc Rebillet is really good at it too. Except Marc Rebillet isn't beatboxer but Reggie watts is.....beardyman is another guy who only does freestyle loopstation, I don't think beardyman has ever made a routine or song he does everything freestyle

@@Neon1880 producer category it's too similar to normal loopstation though. Freestyle is actually way different...look at the stuff avh was doing on normal loopstation it sounds produced anyway

@@GrowingDownUnder it sounds produced because it’s clean, it’s not complex at all. Progressive house isn’t hard to do, it’s just hard to be that clean. Producer has way more crazy drops and crazy moments as well as the potential for WAY more beautiful and meaningful songs like KBA did.

It's alright. Different strokes for different folks. You don't have to be a chef in order to say you dislike certain food. As long as you understand why other people enjoy Robin it's fine if you don't enjoy him yourself. Trying to leave preferences aside I think I can give you a good reason why Robin won this. Robin outperformed Matej in the vocals department. I think Matej relied too much on auto tune here and in his previous battles. You could argue that was a stylistic choice but it's also was a safer option, Robin took a riskier decision by doing more raw vocals and I think judges valued that. Another good reason would be that while they both used material from their wildcards in this battle. Both of Matej's rounds were wildcards while Robin's last round was new (as far as Im concerned) and its theme felt like a perfect way to close a battle.
