Although Robin was extremely funny, it is the serious roles he portrayed I admired the most. Dead Poets Society and Awakenings were my favorites. What an actor!! What a wonderful human being!! I still get very sad about his last days with serious brain disease.

100%. He is SO very missed. All my 21 grandchildren will ever have is DVD’s and that makes me so very sad because my twin grandsons have Robin William’s humor and the knack of accents like Robin had. I was so upset hearing about his suicide…little did I know that just a few years later I would be grieving the loss of my own oldest son’s death. Losing a child is horrible…just HORRIBLE regardless of their age or why you lose them. I hope no one reading this joins me on this journey.

I just finished watching dead poets society and become curious about the actor. I don't even know his name before but I knew he starred on two another films I watched and absolutely loved, the world according to garp and patch Adams which motivated me to become a doctor (I'm graduating on my pre-med now). He's my favourite despite only knowing him by face, and I just get to know that he passed away, rest in peace legend 🕊️ you give many laughs and wisdom to other people thru your work, I hope you're in the better place where you can find genuine happiness yourself. I'll continue to watch your other movies, thank you for everything 💕

Now 67 years old, born 1956 and will never ever forget my 25 years off and on somebody's psychiatric ward. Started in 1972 when I was a thriving cheerleader. A woman of color unheard of to be on a real real psychiatric ward. When I saw "One Flew Over the Coo Coo Nest, was when I really saw where I was minus the mean nurse. How blessed I was to be loved. I was the only person of color in the early 70's. Wow!!! I get it!!! I made it out...To God be all the Glory.

John Ritter I mourned them all. Robin, for at least 2yrs. My younger son & I were homeless & I was watching MORK & MINDY reruns as a way to lol, wondering how they could ever get scenes cut w/ Robin always being so naturally funny! Then, on the hotel TV I heard them say w/one of those night time talk shows just as they were signing off, What? He's dead? Robin Williams is dead? The audience gasped & my heart sunk. They then said, We've just been informed Robin Williams has died. We don't have details, we'll give you those in a few mins on our news broadcast. & they had to finish signing off. I was devastated & couldn't understand how he could have committed suicide! Like the rest of the world! When it was explained it made perfect sense & the fact that he hung himself the same way as in one of his films also made sense. What was sad was he was so good at comedy he was too good at hiding his own pain. It's sad that he thought he had to, but that's the act he'd played all his life. I'd played that act as a child. It is a lonely show. RIP Robin. Maybe some day I'll be blessed enough to hear your show again. 😿😿

Let me add to this wonderful picture a no less original comment, as if in tribute to the great artist who was undoubtedly Robin Williams, he gave me everything my heart desires and at the moment when I needed it the most, he was a part of the cinema, an inherent son of the tenth muse with its whim of rise and fall. fall and the Man of the Future, which the actor is considered to be, was and will always be a synonym for the embodiment of the American myth of immortality with which fame gives us viewers its Final Version in the form of an endless adventure of the heroes it chooses..

You have explained much. Much I never knew. But I say. I will swear it was Robin Williams divorces that destroyed him. The HUGE LOSSES OF WEALTH- HIS NAPA VALLEY RANCH stolen that overcame him. I have read very soulful accounts of this from Robin. God Bless Him. Such a funny man. A comedy genius. I think of him every day. I miss him. He lived a half hour from me in Tiburon.

Man, this thing drones on for quite a while, many of the facts and places that were a part of his life are mispronounced... which makes me think that the narrator is A.I. generated. I didn't need to sit through the whole thing to understand that I can relate to some of Robin's issues. I was shocked at the way he decided to finish his path in life. But tragedy happens... just as the human condition happens. Bicentennial Man is one of my family's favorites.

UNPOPULAR OPINION! To be completely honest, I don't blame him at all for ending his life. I've known someone with Lewy Body Dementia, they lived for 25 years after diagnosis(which is extra long). This person was like an older adult mentally but regressed to an infant or toddler level, with terrifying schizophrenia-like hallucinations. They couldn't understand spoken words but would yell, scream, and cry constantly for years. It seemed like they were definitely in their own world, unable to see us, and could no longer speak English. They had a language of grunts, sounding like someone speaking in tongues, and saw things only they could. It was wild and mixed with screams. They spent many years in a nursing home, and the last I knew, they were still alive. They would smear feces on their face and walls and sometimes crawl around, searching for miniature trolls that they believed were torturing them(back when they could still speak to explain what they could see). That was the Lewy Body Dementia person I knew. If Robin Williams was facing a similar fate, or mentally whatever his fate was... I don't blame him, and he might not have even known what he was doing because the disease can be that devastatingly confusing of reality to lost. It's torture, and I think the person I knew was calling out for their deceased mother bc they believed they were a child again. In a world of trolls. It was heartbreaking. No meds helps really & legally doctors wouldn't order anything to sedate.

@@kimberlyanne8330and,why would you credit or blame God for this disease? Bad things come from bad places. Even Jesus suffered pain and torture. And he was the son of God. No one goes through life without something wrong, weather it be physically or emotionally or mentally. We need to trust God to show us what lessons are to be learned. I never knew what this disease was until now,and so many others suffer from it. Hopefully, more research will find a way to cure it or at least control it. 🙏

Thank you for this. I understand why he couldn't live w/ his misdiagnosis. I hope they have a better way of diagnosing & treating since then. I was literally watching Mork & Mindy reruns. Loling & wondering how many takes they had to do to get one show done. Then I saw on TV, a Late Night Talk Show ending. They said, What? He's dead? Robin Williams is dead? The audience did a collective gasp. Then, they said, We've just been informed Robin Williams has been died. We'll have more details on our next News Broadcast in a few minutes. I was, like the audience, in shock! How could I be loling at his old shows just to hear this?! I mourned for more than 2yrs! John Ritter was another one, but Robin Williams had done much more than John. I'm sorry he was suffering, & his personality didn't let him ask for help. He was on a talk show just a couple nights b4, but being Robin, hiding his pain. So sad. 😿😿

I don't begrudge RW from choosing his own exit. To you're entire identity is a trageic ending i wish on no one. I know since my 2nd stroke, ive lost who I once was. My mind isnt as sharp and I'm not as quick witted as i used to be. That was RW identity that beautiful mind and his ability to provide joy, laughter and tears. I just wish he would have chosen a different, less painful route. There are ways to self-delete that are quiet and painless. I don't sanction suicide, but there comes a point where people need to choose their path. Its not selfish on their part, it's selfish on ours to say "you must endure the u endurable because I or society say so" Screw that He went out himself, of sorts, not a confused husk of who we remeber.

This is an insulting sham. Tell your AI voice to do better research. Robin was not a math Professor in "Good Will Hunting" he was a psychologist friend of the Math Professor. How could you all but ignore the influence of the friendships with Whoopi Goldberg and especially Billy Crystal, whom Robin called almost daily? A better question about an A.I. generated "autobiography" would be how could you all but ignore Comedy Relief (not comic contrast)???

About Christopher Reeve: "He passed away in 2004 after an accident." WHAT???? He was thrown off his horse and broke his neck in 1995. He was paralyzed from the neck and needed a ventilator to breathe but kept going with a career in directing among other things. I know this is about Robin Williams, but what you stated was factually wrong and quite direspectful to the both of them.

The horribly awful pronunciations take me out of the story like someone slamming down the brakes in a car and slamming your head into a dashboard.

Too many mispronunciations and the weird monotone of the speaker make this unpleasant to listen to. Why do people do this? There is NOTHING attractive, appealing, amusing or even interesting about robot readings. Ugh.
