The reason that the parents eat the waste from the nestlings is because the babys digestive system hasnt fully developed yet so the babys poop is actually nutritious for them

Common behavior in birds, both feed, tend the nest. It's not always eaten, but always removed. Never seen this before? Been going on for millenia, sprout.
