To the people who don’t know, the reason why The Figure can hear you even when you’re crouching, is because if you get too close to him, he can hear your heartbeat/breathing, and will follow that heartbeat/breathing until you’re dead. So when this happens, run towards a closet, it won’t be much helpful crouching to a closet since he could hear you already. Edit: Holy heck! Thanks guys, this comment is blowing up!

A tip for figure is that Figure has a pattern when walking. If you memorize the pattern you’ll be fine. Another tip is to follow left (where figure goes at the start) at the start. Because, part of figures pattern is to got the right and most people will go the opposite of where figure is.

Pro tip: The figure on Level 100 will ALWAYS go to the closet area and check. That means you can just walk up to the elvator room and get the key even without crouching. The only time the figure could possibly go after you is after you finish turning on the elevator, which is where you can just run without stopping. You actually don't even need to crouch going to electrical either, because the figure just stays in that room.

A good thing to know, if you don't get dark rooms through doors 90-100, you will 100% get ambush. That is why in speedruns they pray to get dark rooms through the last 10 doors.

He didnt beat doors without closets, he got to door 99. When he died he had 720 gold. And second time he had 270 gold.

Ok so theres a couple things about this. 1. Rush and Ambush have a setted path to go towards. Like for example, Theres a blocked door and theres nowhere to hide. If you hide behind the bookcase thats near the door, Rush will not kill you. 2. You got insanely lucky with Ambush because the trick for Rush doesn’t apply to it

to explain the comments talking about door 100, I’d recommend hiding at the start if you don’t want to go straight to get the key after the cutscene. the figure will normally check all the hiding spots in room 99 before going into room 98 and getting stuck inside, giving you time to open the door to the circuit breaker (lockpicks don’t work) and finish the puzzle. it will only chase you after you exit the power room, so keep running and dont bother to crouch, as the figure is insanely fast now.

newbie fact: both rush and ambush always goes forward, in some cases most place that has additonal rooms ,stairs and bookshelfs with enough distance to give you a survival chance

Advise: Next time please just check the drawers and stuff after halt cause it’s like you almost died and it’s scarier to watch Because, after halt, halt is not there anymore. So you can check what’s inside after his attack. You can still feel free to go in again after his attack. He won’t be there again because he won’t rebound like Ambush.

Besides the great gameplay and epic runs, this was funny asf 😭👏🏼

honestly, i want someone to do a challenge in which it isn't 'you cant hide' but instead 'you can only hide under beds.' closets are always more accessible than beds, but it would nevertheless make the overall challenge easier.

another pro tip: when you see eyes you don't have to avoid eye contact with him and hug the wall u can just simply look at the ground (look down) and run through him and i guarantee you will pass eyes with ease also i really like how you escaped rush by hiding in these spots... THAT WAS AMAZING!!!!!

I would actually believe this, if you didn't do that time skip edit. It just makes it seem like you just did the next run normally. But I'm gonna give you props for proving that beating the game without hiding in closets or beds is possible.

Tip: on room 100, once the cutscene ends, quickly get up and go to the elevator. Then get the key and head to the power room. I thought once getting past figure, it will anyway go to closet room, but I was wrong. And yeah I decided to stand on the stairs and it killed me.

Tbh what I did for Figure, and maybe it's a common strat though, everytime he came too close when I'm searching for books I crouched back to the door, because he does not go there unless you're running, basically a safe spot.

Tip:in doors while ur in a chase with seek i actually prefer that u use like a pc bc when ur in ipad or phone u have to turn left and right and that will waste ur time but in pc u can see the guiding light and u wont need to turn left and right bc when u go straight a bit u can see the guiding light

Did you know you can look down when eyes spawn? It’s much ore easier then hugging a wall and much faster. You can just look up at wall if you walk into it.

for door 100 when u run past him u dont have to crouch either, and he also cannot enter the elevator power room, so take your time fixing it and then when ur done just book it back to the elevator and its basically free

I somehow managed to complete this challenge second time almost right after I completed it for the first time without buying anything at the start in both wins

Well after I had this book the Figure was fast as f*ck and when it turned the other way (at the "start") I CROUCHED my way up but this b!tch came after me >:0 HGCJDTIZTCKZFKUGCKZFDLJH

Here's a tip if you have rush (idk if it will work with ambush too) so if you see lights flicker and your not even close to a closet then go behind the door. It always works and you wont get killed because rush always goes forward (same with ambush)

This is very helpful considering I once was in a room like 16:53 and I searched everywhere and I couldn't find it, finally being in a drawer that I nearly checked. Hope this helps! the easy way to do this: Rush doesn’t go in the path of closed doors or areas without doors I was playing and I couldn’t find a closet so I just ran in a corner and prayed and rush just went past me
