If you talking about 2005 tripod then the tripods in that movie were likely to be inspired from striders

@@Bobreal11he tripods from the 2005 movie are definitely not based of the Striders of HL2. “Tripods” tri meaning 3, they just both happen to have 3 legs, and the first War Of The Worlds was back in the 1800’s, and they still had 3 legs back then, so it’s just the design? The Striders do not show any comparable features other than the 3 legs.

striders are really easy to kill, just shoot a rocket then shoot your gun until it dies. if a strider is deployed you wont be the only one with an RPG

No, it’s just whoever is given permission. Benefactor or the Sectorial Commander, can morph people into it, they usually make Overwatch it though.
