@@patrice8487 I get where your coming from but a horror game is supposed to be scary. That's literally the point of the genre name. It wouldn't make sense if a non scary-Fun-Very replayable game was in the horror genre. It should be put in the simulator genre since that's kind of what it feels like. Or another genre, In my opinion it just doesn't feel scary.

I respect your opinion but also almost any horror game you play over and over stops being scary, that’s obv because you get used to it. Personally I really love doors, no it isn’t scary, but it is fun. I play it over and over and wouldn’t agree with it being overrated. I do agree with you that people go overboard with calling other games “copies”, when that limits the creative liberty of people building games. It is frustrating.

@@balldevourer_ Thank you so much for understanding me. But I have a couple more things to say. About the "Almost every horror game you play doesn't get scary after you get used to it thing" actually is true. But the thing about doors is that you get used to it so much faster compared to other horror games such as apeirophobia, the mimic, etc. In those types of games the horror lingers around for longer and sometimes even stays with you. The reason doors becomes less scary quickly is because of the fun factor in the game completely overshadowing the horror factor, which I mentioned earlier. And for the "I don't agree with it being overrated" that's completely fine. I completely respect that. Everyone has opinions. The thing is everytime I mentioned how I feel about this game the criticism I get is outrageous. From arguments starting to people saying death threats over my opinion and because of the high amount of praise doors gets also when you like a game of course you won't think it's overrated. That's a very normal thing. I just hope you don't do the same thing. Anyway sorry that this reply was way too long. And please don't feel offended by anything I said. @@twitchaccount415 i wasn't offended by anything dw. i think i can see where you're coming from by saying it's more fun than scary, but it is still intended to be a horror game and still has those features, which is why it would fall under the horror genre. i think putting it into, say, adventure category, and then having some random 10 year old wander into it and have the living shit scared out of them would not be a good idea. i will agree that other games(apeirophobia like u mentioned is also one i really love and play a lot) are a lot scarier than doors, but none of them have the replayability that doors has(as i think it comes from each run being randomized and not linear), so it's basically one or the other. it still terrified me when i played it the first few times(and also, the extra rooms game within it still makes me super uncomfortable and ive gotten to room 752), so it definitely still counts as horror the fact you get insane criticism like that for expressing your opinion is extreme coming from the people who enjoy the game, and it is considered mob mentality. i'm sorry people can't be more understanding of that. everyone's allowed to decide how they feel about things, i like hearing other people's views on things with how it can expand my own worldview. a lot of people are more here to just defend what they enjoy regardless of any actual flaws with it :/

for me its a tier, becouse the graphics are meh, but it was made in 2019 so i wouldn't say the graphics are bad, but the design of the monsters is pretty generic, but the story and gameplay are really good
