Lore: Mansion: -Jack Logan’s daughter, Emma, is killed (most likely by a car accident.) -He invites the people who killed his daughter (and other neighbors) for a dinner party, presumable to kill them. -When they don’t show up he tries to kill you. Hotel: -Jack, now using the allies of Zack, stalks the family in hotel (maybe because they had the car that killed his daughter) -The monster, as I’m now told, is not the daughter. It is actually a project he created specifically for revenge (maybe using her soul?). -The family checks out of the hotel and goes camping In Between: -The family is murdered (by zack) while camping, and the child, the youngest boy, is brought back as a ghost. Camping 1: -You go camping and someone in the group tries to kill you all. The child, ghost of the boy, tries to stop this from happening and it is unclear if he succeeds at the end. He tries to prevent the murder because of the one that happened to him. Camping 2: -Zack Nolan, now still searching revenge that has already been taken, attacks yet another group (you.) -Ending (Bad): Your group, thinking the murderer Is Daniel, kills him. In the end you are killed by the real killer, Zack Nolan. -Ending (Good): -You choose not to shoot Daniel. So, because if this, Daniel mentions that Zack is the killer of the young boy. -This stalls Zack just enough in time for the ghost boy to arrive. Zack does not succeed/ the ghost of the child stops him before he can get to you. The ghost child kills him, and after that the child’s spirit is set free. Camping 3: Daniel and pals go camping again with Steve. In the night you hear Steve crying. When u look for him he is eaten by Zack, now a mouse creature. He is joined by his daughter to dump you off a cliff. The ghosts of the family appear and he forgives them for killing his daughter. As the cart rolls away he stops it, but is pushed off the end. The invitation was signed Jack Logan Emma Logan was his daughter and she got ran over that’s how jack went into his rampage and turned into Zach nolan

The lore of the games is as follows. In mansion, Jack is upset because a family of five killed his daughter, wife, sister, not sure which. Then, he hosted the party “to grief” but his actual plan was to murder them. That’s why he states “you will take their place”. When hiding in the closet you can see that Zach is “building something” if you look, it appears to be the hotel monster... then we get into hotel. As you play, the monster/robot attacks numerous times, so that means mansion must’ve come first. When you answer the knock on your door, the family of five is the same family that killed Emma, and later died on their camping trip. If you take the secret ending in hotel, Zach will he spotted chasing you down a long hallway with his knife. This shows that he was in the hotel, controlling the monster for the most likely reason of getting his revenge. Once the family finds the police, we’re still doing one of the following: dealing with the elevator, trying to get through the vents, or fighting the monster, so the family isn’t harmed. This leads into camping. The family is now dead and when we go on our camping trip we can see this from the pieces of paper stuck to a few trees, they explain the deaths. We later learn that the monster we were running from was some sort of spirit figure of the son in that family. This finally leads into camping two, we arrive in Terra Park but this time we have Daniel to guide us. Zach chases us numerous times so we can only assume that he stuck to a life of terrorizing campgrounds once his target family was dealt with. Depending on whether or not you accuse and kill Daniel will affect whether or not you survive in the long run.
