That instrument you have is what we call bells in band, but they are very similiar to the xylophone, you could also call it instead of Bells, a glockenspiel the name comes from a german language and actually means "To Play the Bells" but Bells to represent a smaller xylophone. Bells are usually used in beggining band to get them ready for bigger instruments for percussion. :) !
