I downloaded that game. It's... Actually not bad. It's not good, no shit, but it's playable. You stomp around as RoboCop, shooting up thugs and solving crimes. You eat baby food to get your health back, and use tool kits to repair your armor. But I couldn't get the sound working! I've hear that every time RoboCop takes a step, it makes the same loud "think" as in the movies. Sounds awful, probably.

Except that Ocean has buttloads of very good games under it's belt. Or to be exact they published many good and bad games just like many other publishers at the time. Robocop is even a good example because their versions of the game for the Microcomputers where well regarded.

You should watch the movie. Robocop destroys Robocop 2. Robocop opens the back of Robocop 2 and pulls out the brain, which is the brain of Cain in a glass globe and electronics and also the spinal cord. It's a great movie. Robocop 3 sucks with the silliness they have inserted but it is 10 times better than Robocop 2014.

Oddly enough my grandfather that was in Data entry in the 80s loved playing games. Wore a fancy 3 piece suit to work but, always had the most current console and, tons of games. I think he had a Gamecube just before he passed.

as a reluctant Ocean fan, i can't help but notice that Robocop 2 uses the exact same game engine as the NES Darkman, with all of the same quirks and bugs and weird controls. Music is killer, though.

The funny thing is... Jeroen Tel, who composed the music for Robocop 3, Which the Nerd liked, also composed the music for Dracula on the NES. And the Nerd hated the music from that game.

Oh yeah. As 'Robocop' was a favorite of mine on the NES, 'Robocop Vs. Terminator' was a favorite of mine on the SNES. ... I think Mike and James played through R vs. T on a James and Mike Monday vid. Since it wasn't as bad as some of the 8-bit games I'm guessing that's why James didn't review it.

Wasn't "as bad in comparison" to other Robocop games. 'Robocop 2' for NES was bad. 'Robocop 3' for SNES was bad. 'Robocop Vs. Terminator' for SNES, not so bad. As long as I had the time to play, I could finish it every time. It was also enjoyable to play, unlike the other two mentioned.
