Robotech II The Sentinels - Battle for Tirol - Music Updated

The 2003-4 update to my Robotech: Battle for Tirol video I originally did in 1999. Many updated models appears in there. I had learned a lot since making the original version, and had a lot of fun making this one. I had learned a lot about skeletons and IK setups by then and wanted to use that knowledge in making this video.
I have since uploaded this version which uses the Sentinels soundtrack for the video. I hope you enjoy it
BTW, 3DMecha.com was my website back in the day, and it's long gone, in case you were wondering.

When I did this version I tried to stay closer to the novels than the original. It's not as if they were going to be animated anytime soon.

I just found the video and I loved it. Overall it was a shame that Robotech II was canceled, as it could have been a good series. I saw the various REF Mecha, even the stuff never shown anywhere else. I that Robotech will continue, as a series it shows the strength of the human spirit. Like the heavily SDF-1 rising for battle one last time, which always bring tears to my eyes.

Part of me wants to get back into making 3D models again, but I don't know how much time and energy I can truly devote to upgrading my skills. I appreciate the compliment though.

Cool, I always loved the idea of The Sentinels. If the "Creators" of Robotech could reboot the series as an original idea it actually would make a good series. Too bad they had to essentially pilfer someone else's intellectual property and pass it off as their own.

Robotech Masters left Tirol totally defenseless...SHM.

So the SDF3 left Earth basically defenseless. The Robotech Masters came and fought the folks still there in the Southern Cross part. Tirol was left undefended when the Masters left for Earth. Invid came in and destroyed. Then it seems like the Invid's big army went to Earth and then left Tirol which was then retaken by the natives with the help of the SDF3.

At least in the original novels and series. Not a lot of thought it seems to protecting the homeworld.

This is a great video, I just wish it used the music from the original series. I never realized just how annoying the Sentinels music was until now.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. Personally, I thought that it was ok but certainly not as memorable as the original soundtrack, that's for sure.

Unfortunately the second half of the battle music has never been released.

this is good for maybe 1996... not 2017. I don't mean to tear anyone down, but this not good animation. I know you put a lot of effort into it, but consider some better models.

I made this in 2003-4. It was an updated form of the 99 version.
