Here is part one of my assembly and painting tutorials where I will be going over how I build the game models and paint them up for my collection. Let me know what you all think and enjoy the video!

Nice video You might want to suggest people get hold of the revised assembly instructions, rather than use the ones that came with the boxed set. Especially with the battloid and gerwalk versions of the veritech you need to see the sprue layout and the pairing of the pieces. Single arm poses are fairly easy, but getting the model to hold the gun pod can be tricky, as can getting the right match up for the upper and lower arms . yes you can trim and cut, but if you are a novice builder.... Look fwd to your next one

Agreed, I'll throw that in when I do the painting tutorial! Thanks William.

Its too bad that they felt they had to make them with so many pieces. Getting the right arm pieces matched with each other is really confusing. same with the destroid feet and legs. if you use the wrong feet with the wrong legs, they don't stand right. and assembling. them takes so long, by the time you get ne assembled, you don't feel like painting them right away. but, I am a huge robotech fan, so i tracked these down and with the pandemic, have built the core characters from the RDF so far. no one to play with, but they do look good on a collection shelf

How hard do you think it would be to magnetize the head? I'm thinking of picking up some minis for a campaign, but want my players to be able to upgrade from a VF-1A to 1J and 1S.

You could do it, just need nimble fingers and some tiny magnets... I could see doing that and saving yourself having to paint a ton of planes.

Looking at your assembled/painted minis you acheived some nice poses. I wondered if in a follow up you could show new modellers how to acheive these? For instance for my models I got variety for the battloid legs by cuuting a small wedge from behind the knoee joing and gently bending the piece - any gaps can be filled as usual As for the (faintly ridiculous) right angle lg, I cut this into two, angled one pice and glued them back together to get a more realistic pose. works well for a kneeling pose by also being more radical and doing the same with the straight leg.. As for detailing, if people have greenstuff, it is easy enough to make things like straps for the gun pod - reaaly helps pick out officers
