Because a dog requires full responsibility...people getting a dog just because is the reason why so many pets get abandoned when they realize that is almost lifetime responsibility, it is a living being that needs to be fed, loved, needs to go to the veterinarian and cared for regardless if you are having a good day or not...not everyone should be having a pet, so is good that we start to have alternatives that will not suffer with the lack of responsibility or neglect from some despicable people.
