His reaction to the nickname was cute. Though on the surface, he claimed she was going too far. Yet, deep down. He was thrilled someone didn't treat him like some sort of demi-god and only respected him out of fear. Though her being a Rogue Trader. Can also see her trying to butter up, Robu. All as a political move. I mean, how many Rogue Traders can claim they are FRIENDS with a Primarch? Still, less pragmatics point of view. She could see the loneliness in his eyes and longing for real companionship. Not in a romantic sense. But just to be treated normally. Even as she did respect him, like any mortal, out of fear. But knowing him more. The respect was less out of fear and more in awe of how even a man like, Robu, could still keep going. The BS he has gone through and is going through. He clearly needed people around him that would stop treating him as a Godlike figure and more like a man. And well, she did that. By not trying to run away when she could see the pent-up rage building. When a certain topic was brought up.

The lion will do one of two things. He will just hug Roboute and then take over a good chunk of the military matters so Guilliman can handle the administration without having to worry about military. Or he will hug Roboute, and then cull a large portion of the administratum and eclesiarchy.

Honestly, I want a book series about her. Almost burned at the stake, fought the Inquisition and trusted by Guilliman with an original copy of leticio divinitatus authored by Lorgar himself (and trusted with the knowledge that Lorgar wrote it). I can imagine her as a Captain Jack Sparrow of the 40k world.

I know she is a Rogue Trader but, even with that status I would be concerned how much a Primarch was confiding in me. That is all kinds of power showing vulnerability. The wrong type of person would try to take advantage of that and you could be a liability.

Yassili is more than a Rogue Trader, she's part of the Logos Historica (may be misremembering the specific latin), an organization of scribes, historians and anthropologists made up of atheists and other apostates that stand up to ecclesiarchy dogma. Guilliman recruits them to work on research, such as helping him write a book on the true history of the imperium, and special missions he can't trust religious inquisitors to do properly. For instance the mission he gave to Yassili and the context of this conversation was to uncover a 9000 year old original collectors edition of the Book of Lorgar. He does drop a lot of truth bombs on her all at once, however considering the main thing he admits is directly related to her work and the only thing stopping him being honest with everyone all the time is that his information would spark a civil war it makes sense he'd be so candid with a person he specifically selected to be a rationalist about things like this.

I wonder if the loyal primarchs embrace more of their souls warp origins, will they grow stronger? From prayer, beliefe and worship, along with humanity doing things that the loyal primarchs specialize in or represent. Like with Vulkan, if he embraces the warp more he would grow stronger and even more if people create and craft items. Obviously not to the master degree Vulkan does.
