Pretty sure they would still be together if it hadn't been for the actor playing Robert wanting to do other things outside Emmerdale, hopefully he'll come back, just like Aaron had a break from the show years ago.

@@firstsecond2605 As long as it doesn't end up like Todd on Coronation Street, then I'm good. Hopefully they don't recast and make him a bad guy again, recasting almost never works when the character is a committed relationship. #RobronforLife

@@firstsecond2605 Exactly, people seem to think it's that easy, but playing a character and trying to act the same way as another actor is totally different things, I've seen it fail on most shows. Only time I think it went fine, was in the original dynasty with Steven Carrington, any other time I've seen it, it just failed spectacularly and as much as I miss Robron, I want it to be great again.

For me 2016 Robron was the absolute best. So much character development. Yeah their chemistry was better in 2014/2015, but story-wise 2016 was just really, really strong, what with Aaron's abuse, them growing as individuals and as a couple, them starting their own little family with Liv, Robert's proper coming out, them trying to work out their trust issues. It was just all really well written and well played. Shame what happened after completely destroyed all their hard work in developing Robron as individuals and as a couple.
