I didn't even realize that they deleted so many maps recently. The Library, Mansion, Nuclear Processing, and Terror Hotel are gone. I know people didn't really like most of them but now there's even less maps to play on making the game even more boring. I still miss the Art Exhibit. That was a fun map to be honest even though it was stolen from GMod lmao.

Tbh I have no idea how Evade doesn’t update for half a year and still gets 30k-40k players while nico’s nextbots on an updating streak gets 1k-2k players

Honestly what more makes Evade boring are the new nextbots who are very annoying, not only that, the hitbox is crazy now, which makes the players rage quit or maybe stop playing Evade, and the updates became a bit uninteresting for now, i know people will get mad if theres and update or not. I hope Halloween and Christmas update are gonna be big and fun :[

Well what do ya know. I stopped playing Evade after the new movement. It no longer felt like I was moving at a super fast pace, running away from nextbots, trying not to get caught, but rather that I was just taking a stroll through a map with a nextbot following behind as if we're walking and talking lmao. Something you should know about me is that I get this really weird thrill from going super fast in games. Like if the movement is done really well, AND I can jump around without losing speed. I freaking love it. Idrk how to explain it. (Apologies if this was worded weirdly, or doesn't make that much sense)

from the type of evade players, im number 5, rob is very right, the game has no new nextbots, skins, or maps to offer or event stuff to collect, im camping and doing my quests to get everything in the shop and the lvl 125 badge, fun fact : The evade devs are so lazy that they didn't even removed the exchange thing

The only game I would count as a “pro” at is evade and that means lots of time playing the game and lots of time playing the game means you get super used to it, It’s like a comfort game to me. Around 2023 I was most active when playing the game, I still love this game, don’t let it die.

I think what would have made Evade less boring if they added the removed maps back just to have more unique maps instead of the same 4 maps

For everyone discussing the topic of why this game got boring, I have a question for you: did you ever see a game based on a trend actually last? This game appeared and got popular in the first place only because nextbots have become explosively known, with the clips of gmod where someone was chased by something like a Shrek png. The whole thing in itself is based off of a joke, with no further plan on how to go on. It is but a brightly burning flame that ran out of fuel too quickly, as it's only thing that was going for it is the meme and the somewhat advanced movement. That is all that Evade is, and it is fated to end, unless the developers decide to make it into something bigger than Nextbots. However, the probability of it happening is pretty low, close to zero, even.

⭕- Honestly coming from my idea with Evade being boring is the fact that the gameplay is very consistent, It's really just evading nextbots. The one key factor to getting players hooked on playing the game more are the cosmetics and the unusual effects via grinding by having to play or anything as long as you get cash/xp. Meanwhile updates feel very limited when trying to capture the game's concept since It'll likely just be new maps, cosmetics, or nextbots, but I've never cared for those honestly especially being a factor on what makes Evade "boring" when lacking updates. Evade can be fun especially with friends, or playing once awhile, maybe doing something stupid (like grabbing players and running afar just to drop them and not revive. Yes I've done that) or a play to kill time. But Evade to me gets boring when played consistently for awhile doing the same thing OVER and OVER by running from nextbots, reviving players, or anything that can be done in Evade after hours on end, especially since the gameplay is very consistent. Updates of course are always welcomed and provide a little factor to get me hooked again, but regardless Evade is a game that I'll always revisit every month or so just to kick back and relax. Of course, this is all from my experience and what I enjoy *In summary:* gameplay too consistent, take a break, play again whenever refreshed and feel like

I reached lvl 190, knew almost all methods, and having game pass in the game. I decided to take a break for a year, after comeback I'm disappointed because the game still the same.

i think its the problem of roblox nextbots' genre itself, as almost «new» content from games such this can offer is, - first, something pretty unique, but based from gmod or any source game that has mods implementation by community; and secondly - new maps and nextbots, if not gameplay and gamemodes itself; to produce fun to the fullest from nextbots (here, loud jpegs), you need something special to no other. in roblox, its wayy different from gmod workshop, + heavy creative community, so, its actually a difference that evade and other roblox nextbots game (gosh not «sanic chase») can just find something inspirational and tweak it to the style of the game. whilst not playing such games, i finally started working at interface designing and graphic design for future work sake, and getting prepared to exams to finally reach dreams. games and updates like these just give me excitement, as gmod in general. its always fun to see something new in one community, when others just count it as a "ok cool". roblox nextbots genre is different from source nextbots hype, and this is why (first category) is still standing and living as they can add much more great content as possible. maybe i didn't have to write all this.. hopefully, everythings fine w devs themselves.

imo evade has 2 things keeping it from being boring, and those are the players and the boombox gear. i know i probably sound insane but being able to interact with different people every time you play whilst also being able to play any song you want for all to hear while running from a png just never gets old

Honestly, I dont really care how long it takes them to release Overhaul. I play Evade for a few reasons: I want Bold March, Daily Mission/tasks, and play with friends to do a custom Hide and Seek. But that joy might be gone in Overhaul, because i have been so used to this version of the game. I do want Overhaul to come, just not now, maybe in September-October. (BTW on mobile, beacons and whistling are fixed lol)

i played evade back in 2022 with the halloween event then right after that it just got so boring there was nothing to achieve but just saving people and avoiding next bots i dont really play much to this day as i feel like there is just a better version of evade called "untilted tag game" basically theres many different modes u try to avoid and save people from what so ever mode it is i might come back to evade once it has some what of a decent update

In the last Valentine's Day event they introduced a new lifting animation, I think it was called Love Dove but I'm not sure, it cost 20000, I bought it but it was broken because it looked the same as the animation for level 100 I don't remember the name, in the description under the animation they wrote that they would fix it and they still haven't done it :(

lvl 132 here, used to play a bunch back then honestly sucks how evade’s lowk boring now, i find myself going thru horrendous burnout since i can hardly enjoy it due to the lack of neat content. i honestly miss when i was new to evade and people were slowly getting into it, ws pretty fun then i also think that the hitboxes are wack, the bots are lame, and the game overall just kinda went to shreds after you realize that it’s repetitive after a while and boring. really wish they bring back some old maps too

I'd like to also make an explanation. Hexagon studio's, the orginal name of the group firstly make a Tower defense game named "Tower blitz" which was very popular and brought many players to the group. Then they just abandoned the game to make Evade, around 1-2 years ago. Now they have announced TBZ 2 Which is a sequel to the game "Tower blitz" And that may be one of the reasons evade is being abandoned.

as a level 185 player in Evade, its one of my favorite games, and i joined when the landmines and teleporters are broken. hopefully they work well on the overhaul update soon

around 2022 halloween, i stopped playing after finishing it, around few months later, all my emotes and cosmetics from the event are GONE. i cant even chat on the wall to appeal to this, this is such dissapointment ive seen before.

I loved to play Evade a lot, and I felt used to the movement and the buttons since I was on iPad. Honestly, when the movement update came, I just stopped playing Evade.

this is a good example of exactly what happened to royale high, i played that game since 2017 and a new BIG change was supposed to be released in summer of 2020. least to say, it was released august of 2023 not even 75% done but oh well

I REALLY think they should expand on scorching outpost because to actually gives story and mystery to the game, I think considering the extre fact that the Ikea map shows that Evade is non-canonly connect to Scp which could make an amazing story, my friends and I have mad so many theories JUST off of scorching outpost

I remember when Evade was created, me and my friends used to play Nico's Nextbots a lot on those times. When Evade was created, everyone moved to that game except me. I've tried Evade a bunch of times but it's really not my type of game, though I had to play it, or else, I'd have no friends. Since that, I always hated Evade.

Honestly the only fun way to play for me is big team because there’s a lot to do and you don’t get left behind. It’s also just funny to read chats and stuff while there’s so much going on yet you can still play seriously. Plus starting dance parties is so easy

It really did feel like a loop cause events started just being farming simulator, I somehow still go back even after 2 years js for the movement, though I avoid desert bus and drab like the plague

after playing for almost 2 years on xbox only the game went from being fun to the most infuriating game I've ever wasted time on. From the boring servers to the lack of content and lack of players that even have a general idea on how to actually play the game. I've been entirely drained from the game and pretty much just stopped playing as a whole and moved on to other games I'd actually have fun with rather than play Evade and be subjected to not just a hell hole, but a boring hell hole.

Im the event only type of player. What i think would help is not just better events but like little quests that you have to complete to level up or get a random free item skin. And they should add more to the daily shop and just items in general it could bring so much more fun to the game..

Theres this new issue where speed buffs decreases your speed. Ive got scammed by hermes shoes exactly and it made me have 33.3 speed rather than my default speed (35.0), Its just really repetative and so unfair because of nextbot hitbox (Sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt). I really wonder if overhaul would do such improvement anyways..

Honestly, this is very accurate to my feelings about Evade. I've been playing ever since it's release, but it's just gotten too boring. I still consider it my favourite Roblox game tho.

i personally stopped playing bc i got burnt out and the game didnt hit the same anymore. i started playing during the halloween event 2022, and grinded for months until my level got into the 270s. i was never a macro user so i actually played the game, and i guess that burned me out. summer 2023 is when i really stopped playing just for the sake of it. at the end of last year, i only played to help get an old friend to level 100, and other than that, i've only played events. when the overhaul comes out, maybe i'll play again

I played evade when the top dude on the leader boards was lvl 120 and it was fun but i felt it got boring because of the gameplay loop and it felt like there wasn't really a goal to strive for.

I think for player wise, i'm a mix of average and pro, because I've played on basically every map around anywhere from 2 to 20 times by now, i'm around level 50 or so, but I still kinda enjoy it but there are some maps i dont even know if I've played on such as Elysium tower and catacombs. I feel like evade should possibly just auto choose at this point cuz every time desert bus shows up everyone mass votes it. indoor courtyard is overrated but still pretty good, and I did play catacombs once on a private server w/ my frens and I actually kinda enjoyed it. underground facility isn't rlly voted on much either, but it's kinda sad on how many maps theyre removing. Mansion was the first map I played on and i dunno why they removed it, and terror hotel was pretty good. I feel like we should be adding maps, not removing them, or at least maybe updating some of them because I feel like it's always just drab four corners crossroads or desert bus nowadays. TLDR: Some maps haven't even been played on because of voting system, evade is removing maps instead of adding them, maps are almost always the same overplayed maps

as someone who has been playing evade a little later than release, for me, its mostly because of the game's design like gui, ui, fonts, maps becoming more complex ect. While having a variety of maps is always good for content purposes ,simply its a pain, with maps like kyoto (self explanatory) jungle, the lava map and much more, mostly because those types of maps have small parts and details that are collidable and annoying to move around in. Another one is new movement obviously, the "new" evade players and ill explain what i mean by that, most of them dont actually play the game and just hide/hang out with other players and dont help the players that actually play the game, im putting new in quotations because some of them arent even new and theyre old players. Its just annoying when youre trying to play the game and people wont even engage in, this is why hang out gamemode exists in evade but people dont even play it im a very simple person when it comes to evade and im sure many others are too, with simple maps like desert bus and four corners or drag always to be voted when brought up, its because of the game's movement mechanics that make simple maps like these better to move around in, but also the design of it overall it used to be cleaner and simpler but i feel like now its overwhelming, for what i think at least

I started playing EVADE in jan 2023 (I think) up until about early 2024. I remember the only reason the game was actually fun was socialising and the people (also easier gameplay from Nico's Nextbots probably made it more popular than it.) The game was genuinely really fun at the beginning when you could set yourself goals, eg. Get to level 150 etc. But eventually as gameplay got really repetitive. The game has most of it's updates on events and also, it relies on the players to find themselves having fun. (Not to mention the amount of maps being removed and I think, since only loop has been added for maps.) Eventually, I'd predict the game would die out. There's nothing to do that's new anymore plus people have found new games they like. - But props to evade for helping me get more used to shift lock! -

Evade has been boring for about a good chunk of its existence, and a part of it is within its player base fault. Back when I was giving this game a last chance to find it fun again, I ran into the driest kinds of people to converse with, and not only that, some are just not so talkative, even in the vc game mode. thank gawd you brought this to light, as its beyond me as to how this game has been holding a consistent player base with how utterly boring it is. a suggestion I'd give to the devs to save the stale state of their game is to listen to their community and add content. It doesn't need to be an event like they typically go for, but rather, a new game mode, or things like, idk, make the game actually challenging? its competition made by nico patty, has a better grasp on this kind of game. its actually fun and challenging, especially around the release time of their game.

they made a bunch of the og really good maps extremely rare and the game modes are different it used to be normal, challenge, challenge, normal and this repeated but now its random and a bunch of the og nextbots like obunga (who could teleport which made the game scarier) were removed

Honestly, This is true but we also gotta think on the fact they're basically remaking the game. Making a game is really hard and it is understable they take a lot of time, none can make a game in 2 years and less 1 year. and if they do, it's mostly the minority of the cases. Let's just hope they don't end up erasing the idea and they continue trying to do the Evade 2.0. Altho, it is true, if they're a team (I am not informed of how many people works in the game) but in the case they're a team of quite a lot of people, they could split in two groups, one group works on Evade 2.0 and the other group can work in releasing some updates meanwhile they work on Evade 2.0 therefore it wouldn't seem as slow as it looks like and there wouldn't be as much people complaining about it but all we can do is just wait for the overhaul update and be patient Sadly all you say in the video it is true, as a player of almost level 200 which i got pretty into the game on 2022 and early 2023 I find myself either Doing the sit emote somewhere where the bots cannot get me and being on my phone while the match goes on or running around aimlessy, I even lost the motivation to save the downed people. Evade is a really good game and I am also a player from Nico's Nextbots on it's early stages when all you did was run aimlessy away from the bots or explore the maps without any competitive stuff. It is very sad that nico's nextbots being a good game gets 1k-2k players when they update almost daily and evade has 50k-80k based on what i lately saw. in less words, overhaul will save the game, as for now, we must wait for it. Also if they got a lot of errors when they tried to update on the 31st of october - 1st of november i think the better option would be releasing the update bit by bit instead of everything in 1, it is more worth it doing it the less problematic way than the most problematic way. Sometimes, is a lot better releasing updates bit by bit instead of everytime you try uploading all in one getting all type of errors, releasing bit by bit can help locate less errors and fix them quickly so maybe instead of splitting it in 2 they can do it in 4 or even 6, as long as the game works properly and we get what they have promised us in the end it is completly fine.

overhaul will make the game look like doors entities + midnight horror difficulty i hope they add new character and not the same we have for diff play styles.

I’m level 327 and still have fun everyday playing. Having a good friend group helps it never get old. And we make new friends still.

I never got tired of the game up until the updates. All I have to say for my reason is because I’m a console player. Their new mechanics don’t even work for us anymore, it’s impossible on access gadgets and items and even emotes. Also started noticing half the servers I join lose on usually easy maps waay more often…I think it’s just become a bit too on the ‘try hard’ side for console and casual players to even participate.

This use to be my favorite grinding game, now it kills me to hop on due to it being so repetitive like u said

Probably because Tower Blitz is returning with a sequel soon (Tower Blitz was a popular td game developed by the same team before Evade even existed) Evade was made as a sort of cash cow since the developers weren't making enough money from Tower Blitz due to lack of motivation to update it and it started losing players.

To be honest all i do was going to a low public server, grab a decoy item. Spawn camp the nexybot and won without doing anything much. In fact when my teammates know what I'm doing they just go away from the spawn and watch me spawn camp the next bot by using the decoys.

They really should of just kept up with consistent updates instead an overhaul that drags everything out, lol. also if you turn off high graphics you can bounce and do movement a lot easier if you aren't aware

I already stopped playing due to bad wifi and ping. Once I had better WiFi I tried to play again but quickly realized how boring it has gotten due to bad public servers (probably just bad luck) I really enjoyed Evade but also for some reason my reflexes have gotten incredibly *bad*

When I started playing in 2022, it was fun and something to compete with Nico's Nextbots. The movement was fun and all, stuff was still rolling out but something nudged me in a weird way. i discovered a bug which was being able to emote and b-hop to continue the emote (something like 5:03 except constantly jumping), something not game breaking but fun but one of the devs was like "yeah that's gonna get patched".

What mainly ruined Evade for me is the many maps they deleted. I started playing back in 2022, around may or june i beleive. And i took a one year break from it. Now, evade has js became boring due to people just standing in one area. Like Iceberg, all ppl do is stand on the ship and thoes who actually want to run around and be active they get downed and nobody jumps to help. Its annoying. And jungle is an overrated map to me. I just dont find it fun and its annoying how people pick it. I also hate the fact that they deleted mansion, as being one of my favorite maps. Mansion was so fun to me because of the many rooms you get to go into, especially some rooms being huge. I just found it super fun. I also love four corners because imagine going around in circles, except what also ruined it is people going down the long hallway as getting downed, but also taking the nextbots away taking the fun of the map entirely. I think it’s incredibly stupid that it got deleted since most players nowadays just wanna stand around and do absolutely nothing. Which i partly agree to the updates ruining the fun due to the deleted maps or less chance to get them. But loop is one of the closest maps in four corners to me for reasons Because one, it keeps people active instead of standing around, and too it js reminds me alot of four corners. Drab, Ikea, and Silver mall are also super good maps, but i think they should tone down the chance of jungle and iceberg.

This is the same situation as tds. When announcing the hardcore update, everyone is hyped and made the game a very buggy mess, so it got delayed, and all their future plans wasnt fully released im guessing they gotta rush thise updates due to hype of players and lead for devs to be pressured and pushed back the update for a while.

I was over lvl 125, and when they released grapple hook I quitted the game, bc it made different kinds of stunts a lot less impressive (you can get up to diff places easily with grapple hook). Before grapple hook was released I used to love performing diff stunts to get onto diff platforms that seem impossible to reach. It’s like a flex and that was what motivated me to play the game

Honestly, I find pleasure in making small custom nextbots and releasing them on Big Teams.
