I've been listening to this.(w/ Bobby Durango /M Barnes) music since 88. It's the first time I've seen Johnny get credit for it. It's true that he was the original lead in this band. Love it still..brings back so many memories.

Reminds me of the track ''I can't remember'' off the first Alice in Chains album ''Facelift''. Sort of mixing grunge with glam.

His voice sounds a little Scott Weiland-y. It sounds like bands like GNR and maybe Soundgarden might've been influential to his musical aesthetic. Badass, man! Thanks for the upload!!

Johnny didn't sing or play on this he wrote the riff and taught Doug Banx the guitar parts. Bobby Durango is singing and the bands original influences were Iggy Pop and The New York Dolls among others.

wow sounds like the Doors, JD very talented, what year did he leave the band, is he singing in track, who is singing and who is playing. Just getting to know your band. TY

Is Johnny the lead guitarist for this group?
@therockcityangelstheabuser29223 жыл бұрын
He wrote the riff for this song. He was the rhythm guitarist for the Rock City Angels while filming Platoon, he left the band for 21 Jump Street. He is not playing on this recording but did co-write the song.
@therockcityangelstheabuser29223 жыл бұрын
No he was the rhythm guitarist just before this was recorded for Young Mans Blues album. He was replaced by Doug Banx and is not on this recording, but he co-write the song.
