To the response.below bed stuy, goes hard always but... it is historically known that Brownsville & East N.Y. Combined were thee most dangerous neighborhoods in Brooklyn I would say to this day 2017.

murray trapp Brownsville: Murder Inc. circa 1930s/40s the most fearsome hitmen came from there. Mostly Italian and Jewish gangsters. My dad worked in sanitation from ‘68-early 70’s in East New York/Brownsville and said they would find a body chopped in garbage cans or rolled up in carpet left in abandoned buildings every few weeks...

It was more prestigious to say I'm from Clinton Hill - Bed Stuy was undesirable. Funny - Now The Stuy is where every one wants to be. Hate it - Fuck were yawl when we stepping over bodies and ducking gun shots!

@@vaugenheimnughnrn8723 dude wu was the only commercial rappers who still had very raw rhymes the reason they was commercial is because of their appeal everyone was drawn to them they brought something new to the game they all had their own personality look at ODB can you name another rapper who acts like him? and boot camp was dope but can you name one member that’s really different personality wise as well as lyrically? To me boot camp was a good group with rappers who are pretty much the same as the other. they not fuckin with wu lol the wu was mad creative with fresh slang and let others know why Staten Island is Borough before wu nobody was shouting out Shaolin. Meth Ghostface GZA Deck could’ve handled all of them on their own no diss against boot camp they needed better managers. If you don’t believe drop some lyrics and I’ll do the same.

That's the thing. Jay's main audience, love it or hate it, ain't hip hop and for damn sure ain't hiphop heads. White suburban teenagers don't give a fuck about the culture or the rules, they only care that it sounds hot in the moment. I've stayed saying that Jay ain't a writer, he's a biter, but like RA said: "there's only 50,000 heads that care about what true hip hop music is" off Every Record Label Sucks Dick.

Jay Z’s early hit with foxy “Ain’t No” sampled the beat that EPMD used “It’s my thing”. So Jay has always been sampling from voices (Nas, Snoop, Prodigy etc) to beats, and lyrics-Biggie.
