Rock quarry crushing operations HD. Check out this fully operational rock crushing operation making gravel. I show you all the equipment in operation including loading and unloading giant rock trucks. We follow the process from loading rocks into the hopper, adding sand at just right spot, all the way through to being loaded on rock trucks and stockpiled. It is a fascinating look behind the scenes of how we get the right gravel mix for road construction.

Definitely worth watching. I operate a loader in a small limestone quarry in the states and a crusher setup like that would be something to drool over.

Very good. I'm glad you enjoyed it Gary. I grew up on the edge of a river valley and know the sound of a crusher nearby! There's always something new or interesting to see. Stay tuned for further nonsense and entertainment my friend and thanks for watching and for your comment.

I run a Volvo 40 ton haul truck and they had scales on them, thats how we kept track on the tonage, about once a week we had to recalibrate the scales, they were about 99% accurate.

What a great video. Thanks for posting it! When I was working at the mines I got to see a cone crusher like that only it was about 20ft deep and 40ft across. Man that was a lot of buttons in that control room, hope they are labeled well haha

They didn't look very well labeled to me, but I guess they were enough for the operator. Not exactly my shortest video, but a neat tour. That mining crusher would be something else.

Great video! I used to run one of two crushing operations for my old employer, also had a decent sized washing plant setup. Its pretty crazy how much goes into making big rocks smaller lol. We ran a jaw primary with a cone secondary, pretty much identical to this. Lots of moving parts if one thing goes down in the chain you gotta be quick to shut it down or youve got a hell of a fun mess on your hands!

I'm glad that you enjoyed it! Sometimes videos of things you're familiar with aren't enjoyable to watch. I grew up next to a gravel pit area and saw crushers lots, but never got to get a good tour. There's lots of things to see in the world that are interesting. Thanks for subscribing, hopefully the variety of things I post will be entertaining to you. I've got a few videos that have had lots of traffic like blowing up beaver dams, pushing one out with a log skidder and a couple of my 59 Chevy pickup with a Detroit engine and 2 transmissions. Happy viewing!

I don't know about this one, but ad a kid I know they did run 24 hours in the valley below our house. The rail cars behind is a spur off a sand plant that processes frac sand for oil and gas well completion.

I don't work for this rock crushing company, but I can get in contact with them if you want to communicate with them. I can tell you they work as a contractor to crush gravel in Alberta Canada for private pit owners. As for specific details and capacities I cannot answer those questions. If you think they can answer questions email me and I'll try to pass your email on to the owner. My email is lovesloudcars@gmail.com

Lots going on there for sure. Funny enough, as you know I was raised rather close to a gravel pit, and this is the first tour that I ever had of a crusher.

that was great. so, what would that 32 tons be in terms of cubic yards?
@lovesloudcars

About 27-28 yards. ( not that I knew that, I had to ask). I've always wondered how accurate a yard was when it's just dumped in a heap. It was certainly not my shortest video, but pretty tough to cut much out except me repeating about rivers flowing north.

Was there another conveyor to carry off the dirt that falls through the screens?
@lovesloudcars
@lovesloudcars 2 жыл бұрын
There were conveyors off everything except the two big ones that the loader dumped onto. Lots of the fine stuff was added back in after all the crushing. This pit doesn't have much sand compared to many other places I've seen.

@terrymacleod6882 2 жыл бұрын
@@lovesloudcars so the reject replaces the sand i take it?
@lovesloudcars
@lovesloudcars 2 жыл бұрын
@@terrymacleod6882 I think here the sand was added back in after the the crushing and some reject was added as well. This was 2-1/2 inch if I remember, and having the extra fines added helps with compaction. (I think). No crushing expert, but that's what I think he explained the reasoning.
