Rock Solid Relationship or Relationship on the Rocks? - 1 Peter 1:8-9, from our study, 60 1 & 2 Peter - Rock Solid - 2013, with Skip Heitzig from Calvary Albuquerque.
MESSAGE SUMMARY
Why do we insist that having a relationship with God is not the same as being a religious person? How is a relationship with Him even possible, since He is GOD and thus is unique from all other creatures? Today, the answer to that will be made simple as we consider the simplest components of any relationship, including a relationship with God.

Surrounded by threats yet for 2 years these expounding series have helped me " Turn your eyes on Jesus< " I have fading eyes. Pardon the punctuation.

You better make sure you are speaking for God when you say 1 Peter 1:9 doesn't mean what it plainly says. Peter says at the end of 1 Peter this (epistle) is the true grace of God in which we stand. The true salvation if you will. We resist the devil in faith. You have no authority to contradict the plain words in verse 9. Your osas doctrine forces you to compromise the Word of God and is the problem, not 1 Peter 1:9. Salvation is entrance into a covenant, the new covenant, not an event. As Chuck Smith said Saints must persevere. We must continue in faith in the new covenant until death to inherit the promise of eternal life. Being born again starts, not finishes faithing.

The above guy sounds works based. I love the Holy Spirit for drawing me to him. Start thanking Him. He s never failed me yet. I see his love surrounded by so great a cloud of witness separating my daughter from an abusive relationship. I have seen Gods action.

@@sahhomes Early Christians were fed to the lions, refusing to deny Jesus in the face of such a horrific end. Your struggles, though difficult, don't compare. They certainly don't give credence to your incorrect understanding. God created you to be holy, like He is.
