I'm 50 and I dont move or do anything like I did when I was 20! It's a blessing to be doing any of the above! Things happen and change occurs! I lost my mom and only brother in a car wreck at same time! And my father 2 years and four months later! I said that to say this unexpected deaths hit hard and unto you have walked in those shoes be quiet! Just know your life is never the same because every day you think of and miss them. And just existing and carrying on is a daily TASK! You do anything to distract u and if this works for Bobby! GO BOBBY!

Bobby didn't lose his voice because of what he went through, he's off tune because for so many years he wasn't active. Coke and his bad attitude put him on the shelf. Bobby squandered New Editions chances to make money on several occasions. Agreeing to do a tour but then backing out in the end causing the tour to be cancelled. Let the struggle bring him his maturity. He did a lot of harm to him, his wife and his friends. The struggle will give him balance if he stays with it!

The reason us in our 40s+ still groove with Bobby is 1) the man rocked in his prime and was not touched in performance 2) He has been thru hell and survived doing drugs, alcohol and several convictions due to immaturity; and 3) He lost 2 children and a beloved exwife. I haven't been thru 1/2 of that and I am struggling. He looks better than me for our 50s. We still out here doing it. The aliens from this group are Ralph, Ricky and Ronnie... they dont age and can still dance and sing respectfully.

Wow looks like he got some of his voice back cuz in the early 2010s his voice was super gravely and just gone. And he lost some weight. He’s not even cheating as much through the higher and harder notes like he did during that time period. And he still has fun on stage. I saw him in Los Angeles the year before this and his voice didn’t sound this restored neither. Big improvement overall. Imma always be a huge Bobby fan.
