This is true, no single individual played a larger role in creating Rock’n Roll than Chuck Berry. Everything we heard in the past 70-80 years in the Western world starting with Rock and everything it spawned is traceable in some way to him. No Elvis, no Beatles, no Stones, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, none of this without him.

Bruce opened and played with Chuck way back in 1973. This performance sadly, Bruce has said was one of his least favorite. Direct quote from both Bruce and Little Steven, they didn't want to be there. Chuck and Jerry Lee fought backstage about who would play first. Chuck kept trying to change keys in the song, that's why Bruce was studying him so much. Still, love both Bruce and Chuck. Rock wouldn't be the same without either.
