I used to joke that Rocket was my spirit animal. A love for guns, a prickish attitude and all the things that everyone loves about him. Then I researched his character. Then I watched Guardians Volume III. Like Rocket, I had someone like Lylla. And like Rocket, I lost her. His story didn't just hit close to home. It kicked down the door. I buried my feelings for years but now like Rocket said, "I'm done running.". I got more therapy out of watching Rocket's story than anything. Love the movie. Love this video.

This is the beauty of storytelling. You can relate and see that you're not alone in the vastness of creation. It's cathartic when it's a story well-told that you can relate to. Some are impossibly seemingly tailor-made and it seems to signify that you're not forgotten when you feel as though you are.

@@Idevaughan530unfortunately, when abandoned, it’s a situation where you clearly loved them more than they loved you. If it was a parent, I’m so sorry. That’s not excusable. But if it was a partner, you have to understand people grow apart, or fall out of love, or just don’t ever fall in love with who they are dating. There are others, and you are deserving of love. Don’t ever convince yourself you aren’t, and don’t you dare settle!!! If it was a best friend then this is really tough. My advice to you is to not try and seek out another person like them. It leads to disappointment. This is experience talking. Just know there’s lots of love out there, despite how the media portrays the world. You’re gonna be just fine, and I truly hope you have an amazing life. God bless ❤🙏

“Why didn’t he ever tell us about this?” Because Mantis, one of the ways to deal with past trauma is through repression. When rocket escaped from OrgoCorp, he literally and figuratively ran away from his trauma and his trauma entered his subconscious. From his perspective, he wasn’t trying to hide his past from Groot and eventually the Guardians, but he was supressing the memories to the point where he wouldn’t even know what to say. Rocket is the perfect example of repressed trauma and why people who’ve experienced trauma rarely open up to other people about their trauma.
@danielhaire6677
@danielhaire6677 9 ай бұрын
But that subconscious also developed his mania for tech, weapons, and thievery. All to prepare for the prospect of one day being forced to face the High Evolutionary and win.
@gajustempus

there's another point about that: It's a learned thing that's part of our society. Trauma equals weakness. And we've learned to exploit the weakness of others. No matter how much you believe you can trust someone, this someone will, sooner or later, most likely use this weakness against you. Because that's how humans work. We use our chances to exploit others if we can get ahead of someone. We're competetive - and when it comes to the worst, we always try to be in the first place, no matter the cost, no matter how many we will hurt by doing so. Don't believe me? Take a look around. Take a look at the current political situation in ANY country. It's the prime example in every single country. The one's propagating compassion and cooperation are being exploited, laughed at, being pushed down, get destroyed through blatant lies. Homo homini lupus

The High Evolutionary is evil written well. Not every villain needs to be someone that was good led astray. He is by all means evil, motivated mainly by his hatred of the imperfect, and holds no empathy for his creations. There's no "I get where he's coming from" moments. He's just irredeemably evil. And frankly that IS realistic. Some people are just monsters.

Never watched this before or anything like this and no movie has made me cry but this genuinely broke my heart and even though it’s not real I shed a tear it was very satisfying seeing him get revenge

I had a hard time with this film. I cried through most of the film see what was done to him. The scene were all his friends died all I wanted to do was hug him and tell him he will be okay. This was the best of all the guardians of the Galaxy films.

The flashbacks were my favorite part of the movie. Although I wish they would've shown more on his surgery and what they did to him

Loyality is just compassion by another name; There are no true "Allies" in friendship, only those who would do anything to see you do well. What sets a friend apart from an ally is the deeper emotional bond between those involved. "My Services are for sale, my loyality is not." - Any Mercenary who is true to himself.

I slowly gained to like rocket over the first and second guardians of the galaxy, haven’t even seen the third yet and watching this video, omg it hit me so hard. Like over the first and second, all I wondered was how traumatized rocket was and now watching this video before the movie, just breaks me as a man. Even I can understand and see how badly treated he was.. poor rocket one of the greatest pals in the movie but acts all tough cause he needs to be to suppress the pain
