They reeeeeally should've gotten the same people that did the music for the Rocket Knight Adventures and Sparkster. The music here is really forgettable and almost generic along with most of the sound fxs sounding like they could've come from the same pool of sounds from Xbox Live Arcade indie games... the ones you don't really remember. Not enough of the sounds are punchy and "in your face" like the old games were. The enemies are too squishy. In the old games it felt like you were really tearing into them-especially when you rocketed into some of the tougher ones and bounced off. The utility of the rocket in this game is good though. Double jump and all that. The auto scroll parts of the game are way too slow and boring. Fighting Axel in the air should've been different altogether. Shoulda been in motion instead of them just staying in the same spot or if they were gonna do that, have them be on the ground or somethin. As a game this is fine, but to claim to be a Rocket Knight game, they really should've taken it up a big notch with the sound and music. The art design is good though(although Sparkster's squinty eyes are weirding me out a little). There were lots of good ideas like the frozen rocket fuel gimmick, but man, I really wish this game lived up to the legendary series. Rocket Knight deserves better. I give them credit though, they tried as far as I know. I really hope they remake or remaster any of these...well full blown remake this one, but yeah. Rocket Knight is one of those games I put next to Sonic and Crash Bandicoot as good video game memories.

whoever proposed that design and art style should have been moved to another project or fired outright. He looked his best in Sparkster for both the Genesis and SNES.
