R.I.P. Rocket League community. It was a really nice game. Unique in it's kind. A project which involved giant projects in it which made it really fun. Now it is just a part of giant project and it it loses it's uniqueness more and more. Disabelling the trades was a real example. It was a long way with a crash at the end. "Race without limits" is a great motto for limiting another game to participate in another.

If by stripped for parts you mean porting to UE5 slowly and surely (first step cars, decals, wheels) then yes this is the only way Rocket League will make it to UE5 and i doubt anything will change the fact that it will soon live entirely within the fortnite architecture. There is nothing we can do to change that so we might as well make the best of it.
