My father bought his Kubota in 1989. He sadly passed a decade ago, I still have it, never had a problem with it. I bought a B2601 last year for more capacity, 150hrs so far and zero issues. Kubota is the best machine made. Yanmar is the only other I would personally consider. For me, I value a machine that will keep going for decades without issue.

Just purchased a TYM 494 ROPS paid $32,000 including tax . Could have stepped up to the 574 but 494 was more tractor than I really needed plus the turbo is just something else that could possibly give problems later on after warranty was done. Unit came with grapple, stump bucket, land plane, tires filled and several other odd and ends even has blue tooth speakers and work lights. The tractor is outstanding. My dealer is 15 miles away and maintenance on tractor is very easy to do. Felt the price was very fair. Very happy with purchase would do all over again if needed. PS GREAT VIDEO THANK YOU.

Brock, the TYM574 is the one I was guessing you were going to end up with, nice looking tractor! I've been eyeing it for awhile though I've gone back and forth between the 474 and the 574... I think if I pull the trigger on one itll probably be the 574 at this point. I do want to support my (semi) local dealer, but thats a bangin' deal from your dealer! It's a huge blessing being in the position you are, sell those other machines and feature other loaners for awhile!

Congratulations. I knew you were getting a TYM. I agree with your points you made. I have a kubota L3130 hst and it has been great but I still stand by if I were buying a new tractor today it would be TYM. Dollar to doughnuts its the best bang for your buck and second choice would be between kubota and kioti. Especially since I now have experience buying from Kubota and Deere now.

It really does just come down to what tractor has the best price with the features you want and has a service center close to where you live and work. For me, I'm just four miles as the crow flies from a fantastic Massey Ferguson dealer and shop so I tend to support them. Now I'm kind of hoping to have a TYM dealer move in near by. I went through the same review last year. It came down to TYM and Kioti. I went with Kioti due to the dealership being nearby and has been around for 40+ years. The TYM dealer would not change out the tires from R4 to either R14 ( preferred ) or R1 which brought the tractors more or less to the same price point. I certainly agree with you on the simplicity of the engine and the dealership even indicated that a DPF delete was very simple once the warranty expired. With one would have been a good choice for me. Good choice for you.

I bought the TYM 574C for a lot of the same reasons. I've had it for about a year and love it except for some of the ergonomics. The 3pt raise/lower lever and 2 hydraulic levers are a little cumbersome but work. Getting into and out of the cab is a little tight if you are in L range ( lever sticks front ). Still very happy with my decision after trading my Deere 3033R in on it when it kept breaking ( it was new ).

Hard to argue Brock! I love my Kubota and it’s my second one. Resale and dealer support were my reasons why. No doubt if I had access to these other dealers, perhaps I may have been easier to move. Hard to argue with selling a machine, 12 years into ownership for what you payed for it. I just love them all and your ability to test them had to be awesome. I’m sure that TYM will be all you’ve been looking for.

I agree completely and purchased my TYM T474 last year. The price and the mechanical engineering is what lead me to the decision. @TelescopeJunky
@TelescopeJunky 9 күн бұрын
@chrisking4422 it depends on the situation. When I need to work in a confined space or have a small job the T264 will get the task. The CK2620 is for larger jobs where space is not an issue. I do like the comfort features on the CK2620 more so it is more often chosen because of that but they are both great machines. I love the Kukje engine on the T264, it has good power and great harmonics, love it's sound. The TYM models you are looking at will have those comfort features (suspension seat, etc.) as the CK2620 does.

Love my TYM T264. Tony from Tony's Tractor Adventure recommended it to me a couple of years ago and I couldn't be happier with it. Two years in and zero problems. The price was ay lower than the Kubota I originally was looking at. Actually $2800 cheaper than the comparable one from them. No regrets on TYM purchase. Smiths Enterprise in NC sold my 2022 to me brand new out the door for 16K. My only worry with it is my wife now wants to drive it.

After looking at a lot of tractors, I bought a used JD 2630 (75 HP) for $6,000. It has a new short block, injection pump, Hydraulic pump, and one new rear tire. I bought a new rear tire that matches. I bought an original matching 145 front end loader at auction. I ordered new hydraulic lines as the previous owner had installed rubber lines and were in the way of the front end installation. My dealer had to order the steel hydraulic lines from Atlanta for about $300 (three lines) and got them in 2 days. Almost everything else I needed the dealer had in stock. People, this is a 50 year old machine and absolutely no issue getting parts. There are no electronic issues with this machine ever lol, only electrical parts on the machine are the starter, alternator, lights. and battery. I plan to install new front tires and paint this winter and I will have around $10,000. I bought original factory repair manuals on EBay.

I sold my Kubota M7060 with 700hrs and bought a TYM T494 with a cab. I had a lot of sleepless nights wondering if I made the right choice. I now have 150 hours on the T494, and I couldn't be happier. It lifts almost as much as the m7060 It plows wet heavy snow better using the same 8' plow it pulls logs pretty good not as good as the Kubota, but it has 20hp less. Tym also has a 6-year warranty and Kubota has 3. I like the Kukje engine also, I went with the T494 because It didn't have a turbo just one less thing to brake. It does seem to use a little more fuel than the Kubota but not terrible. I enjoyed your videos on all the different tractors you did a great job and will be a help to anyone looking to buy a new tractor. Take care

I recently bought a Kubota, I went with Kubota because they are the Toyota of tractors. Reliability, Resale, and parts and service available. I looked at Mahindra, New Holland, Kioti and Massey Ferguson. I could have saved several Thousand dollars with more standard upgrades. I started out looking for a used tractor but I saw a lot of Korean/China made tractors with less than 200 hours being sold as is that has issues which tells me the quality control is not as good on these brands. Just my Humble opinion.
@jasonc6962
@jasonc6962 28 күн бұрын
Agreed. While people do complain about kubota and John deere lifting capacity, They are set lower because of their tipping weight. They cannot guarantee you will not have weight on the back in order to keep you from tipping over and you suing them. The lifting capacity can be adjusted through the pressure release. Don't. Let the dealer find out but you can do it. And a good heavy bushhog makes it good counterweight.
@Ubergamer256
@Ubergamer256 21 күн бұрын
The quality is absolutely not the same and making that mistaken assumption will hurt everyone buying a 20% cheaper machine because “it’s just as good!”. I have been there, buying chinese crap for most of my early life. Now I see all the stuff I have is crap that won’t survive being handed down to my children. Buy quality. Japan > USA > Korea > everyone else. It applies to nearly everything manufactured.
@Ubergamer256
@Ubergamer256 21 күн бұрын
And even now a days you need to be careful that even some Japanese brands are making products in China now, such as Makita, and the quality is apparent. Japan invented much of lean manufacturing, the nation just flat out makes higher quality products.

I considered Deere, tym and yanmar. After operating the ihmt trans, you really learn how gutless the hydrostatics are. That, coupled with reliability and overall quality, the yanmar really stood out to me. The Deere was too pricey, and the tym was too cheap feeling.

The YT359C is a work of art and a super strong machine. The IHMT transmission is an engineering marvel that works like an HST but is much more efficient. The A/B mode is amazing. Ground speed and engine rpm set independently in two separate modes. I'm thinking Brock didn't get to experience it's advantages. Automotive style cruise control, dual rear remotes standard. 2500lb FEL lifting capacity. Much much more. Pure hydrostatic like the TYM is a turn off. Too inefficient.

These ARE The "CADILLAC ESCALADE" of Compact Tractors. The TRANSMISSION & Build Quality are Second to None. With a PURE 10 year warranty these are the BEST.!! The only "down-points" are the limited dealers & the Price but better than JD & a stronger Tractor for Similar pricing to the Kubogy's.

I have a Deere 4310 I bought new decades ago. I's been good, but the electronics are the week point. Several years ago Deere pulled the franchises of all the small local dealerships (including the one I used) in favor of one giant dealership for the whole State! Thanks, JD. I bought a Yanmar YT 359C during covid, and it has been a good machine, although not nearly as nimble as my old Deere, and I found myself jumping on the Deere, instead, if it was just a quick mission. My local dealer, now Yanmar, used to be Mahindra. He had a leftover machine I inquired about on his lot, and he wouldn't sell it to me (we're friends). He couldn't get Mahindra to honor warranty work, and ended up eating a number of repairs that should have been covered.

I honestly thought you wouldnt give TYM a chance given your JD history. My Kioti/New Holland dealership manager hadnt even heard of TYM. Kubota salesman either. I think TYM's awareness will spread like wild fire in coming years. I know its sparse down in south Florida in JD, Case, and Kubota land.

Great choice Brock. I can’t wait to see the TYM working in future videos. The only reason I didn’t go with TYM is the closest dealer is 130 miles away. I went with a Kubota MX5400 that dealer is only 4 miles away and I have known the owner since we were kids. He gave me a great deal. I really enjoyed this series. You did a fantastic job. Thanks

I recently purchased a TYM T574 hydrostatic from Zimmerman Equipment in New Castle VA. 11 hours on it and Love it so far. I chose it based on price, features and the simplicity of the Kukje engine. Time will tell.

I own 2 Kubota's. The only thing I would give them a negative on are features. I bought a B3030 winter cabbed tractor about 12 years ago. They no longer make this model. The tractor was over $25K and and came without a factory installed 12-volt port. In addition, the wheels were so close to the frame that I couldn't run chains for winter use. So I had to install factory wheel spacers.

I'm on my second L series Kubota, loved them both. Have run a number of similar Deeres, no comparison in my opinion. Can't argue with the Tym selection, I was thinking hard about that before I stumbled on the L3560 with low hours at a great price.

Solid choice Brock. TYM was my second choice when I was shopping for a new tractor. Came down to dealer. I have 3 Kioti Dealers in easy driving distance from me. TYM had none that were close. I went away from JD also after all my life on one. Still have 2 JDs but when I went new, I went away from them. I’ll guess I’ll be first to say I never was impressed with Kubota and tried to include them in my research but kept away as I’ve have not had good experiences with them. Anyway Congrats

I had a Kori and sold it because the 4 dealers near me all sucked. They couldn’t even keep maintenance items in stock and every time I needed a part it was 2-3 weeks before I would get them. All of this was pre covid

I found what you said about price is true. When we were looking for a cab tractor, I priced Kubota and John Deere and they were about $10K more than what we ended up buying. We ended up with a New Holland Boomer 50 HST for price and availability. At the time we bought 2 years ago, availability was still a big factor. We had a 6 week wait for our tractor rather than a 6 to 9 month wait. 375 hours on the machine now and I've had zero problems with it. It's not perfect, were I to design it, I would change one or two things. The main thing I would change is the range select lever.. Winter time I have a snow plow on the front and a snow blower on the back. Turning around to blow snow put my right knee up against the range select lever and it get in the way a bit. I would like an outside lever to adjust the 3 point when hooking up also. Other than those two complaints, I think it is a great machine.

in 2021 I purchased a new Kubota M6060 Cab and front loader for $36k don't regret it at all. It will do everything you need it to do. Bush Hog, Grapple work, Hay...you name it. The JD was at least10% more expensive for less tractor

Congratulations on the tractor! I’ve been eyeing the 494 - same thing no turbo. I was a little discouraged looking at the TYM operators manual available on their website. Seemed to lack a lot of details that manuals from other brands have, like proper ballasting and implement limitations. I also like the Kioti DK4720se and NS series, and there’s a good dealer nearby. I also have Kubota and Deere dealers nearby but the $$$ thing is real…

When we went tractor shopping I had limited choice as far as brands go. For us we were looking for cost, ease of use and availability. Eventually after knocking some brands off of the list we ended up going with a Massey Ferguson. We've looked into possibly getting a TYM but there are no dealers in this area and we didn't want to travel 2 hours to the nearest dealer. So far the Massey has been great and it's also a very simple machine, no electronic computers on in. We might go for a Massey Ferguson 2607H in the near future since it's one of the few tractors offered in the 75hp range that doesn't have a DEF system. I believe it also has mechanical fuel injection on it as well. Aside from that another option we've been eyeing is a Kubota 540 wheel loader since it's much more versatile and pre-setup for multi-function implements. Plus it has a hefty lifting capacity when equipped with pallet forks. :)

Brock, I'm new to tractors and your videos have been so helpful. Thank you so much for all the effort you have put in to making these videos. I was thinking the same thing that you mentioned, that I could buy two TYM tractors for the price of a Deer or Kabota and have a large one when I need a lot of power and a small one when I need to get in tight areas.
