Are there Peruvian Paso breeders in the US that are breeding for speed and endurance?

Not generally. They can do endurance, but they're bred for their gait/smoothness and not speed.

I have a mare that is half Tennessee and half Peruvian. She carries herself as proud as your stallion. I want to either breed her or buy one of yours. Let me know what I can do. I'm in Utah.

The Peruvian Paso are typically in the 14:1 hands to 14:3 hands range, but are horses of substance and powerfully built. You can contact the ranch directly at the number listed in the credits for specific horses. Thanks for your inquiry.

My Peruvian was diagnosed with DSLD. I am currently looking for a young large mare to replace it. Pleasure and trail. Do you have any available. I am an experienced but older rider. I love the breed.

IhavebeenwantingPuruvian Pasos and Paso Finos since I first fell in love with them over 30 yrs ago.....I have had the opportunity; living in Central Calif; to go to Peruvian shows and demonstrations; and I have never seen these beautiful graceful horses flare their legs out like that,,,, It looks like these poor babies are being forced to wear stacks,,,, as in "Big Lick" barbaric practices; which causes the horses excrutiating pain and destroys their hooves; their legs; their hips; basically, It is a slow murder; whose sole purpose is to get a ridiculous over-exaggerated gait out of an already 5-gaited beautifully graceful horse..... I kept stopping the video and looking at the shoes, and it is pretty obvious these horses are wearing stacks.... This is animal cruelty; and I would never even consider purchasing any horse from a breeder who practices this cruelty on their horses... and then sits there and professes to "love" them... Love doesn't do things like that to innocent animals ....Selfish, cold-blooded greed does.... Go to Horse Plus Humane Society's channel; and their web page.... They have many videos of the poor horses they've rescued that end up at the kill auction because of this....See for yourself what has been done to them.....

The swing of the front legs of these horses is natural and called "termino". Foals are born like this. Granted, some individual horses may have more or less, which may be a fault and disrupt the smooth ride. Different gaits (or speeds thereof) may exaggerate the termino, too (i.e., not as pronounced when the horse is walking). There are no tricks or stacks or torture. I've ridden them and even ran beside them (and gotten clipped by the swinging leg). No tricks here, this is what it is.
