Part 2 of 7. We follow the race in which Dale Earnhardt garnered his final pole. Will he win? Or will some new guy take the crown?
Also, the Top 10 moments from 2002 are acknowledged.
Some Mistakes I caught:
- I showed the Lap 258 running order too early. Enjoy the "sneak peek" of where everyone is running.
- at 15:40, the spot was for 4th, not 5th.
- at 6:36, that spot was for 2nd, not the lead.
- 20:37, he won the day race at Bristol. Gordon won the Night race at Bristol.
- 20:18, Kurt Bush DID NOT win at Bristol. Rusty Wallace did. Kurt Busch won at Martinsville.

I modified the 02, 12, and 30 cars. Since I did not originally paint the cars, I have no rights to release them.

Great video, love that random "20" during the ambience of the Rockingham race. I've thought of Dale being around until like 2004 or 2007 for some reason.

If I remember right, Dale Earnhardt was supposed to retire with Mark Martin, so assuming Mark goes out when he is supposed to, his last year would be 2005.

17:38 You know damm well this would not happen unless he had a another injury but he would've been very competitive and could've probably won his 8th championship in 2001 bc in 2000 he was very competitive and could've won like 6 wins that season

I know this is late, but you say that Harvick took the lead in lap 92, but says that Martin takes away the lead in lap 103, but it ended up being only for 2nd.

Casey Atwood had first shot at Evernham Motorsports recruiting to run with, and be mentored by Bill Elliott. Elliott brought Championship automatic starts, to R+D effort for Dodge in 2001. Bill agreed to drive / deal, with request for Ray to make a point of getting a young driver to mentor to...as his brother Ernie's son CASEY had recently passed, who had won various championships in short track series. HE was to carry Elliott name forward...a legacy. So ATWOOD was running Busch series sponsored by Castrol GTX...was tested, but was not interested, AT THAT POINT, in moving up to cup racing.Casey Mears...not ready, and wrecked an R+D car. RAY saw and heard about Kasey Kahne...and HE ran well, right off the truck.NOW...it's DawSONville ...and let's GO CHASE !

+Griffdawg, I'm really enjoying these videos, but im not sure how you make them. Are you playing it like a video game? Are you writing the outcomes of these races like a script or is it purely a computer generated simulation? And, if it is a simulation how well does it mimic the real life styles/specialties of each driver (Say M, Waltrip or Sterling at a superspeedway or Rusty at Bristol.) ? Thanks, I'm really curious.

I assume he would have been driving the #2 for RCR in the Busch series. In real life, Mike scored an 8th and 2nd place in the 12 car in 2001, replacing Mayfield.

dale earnhardt had the #3 and when he died(not related to this what if) the 3 car turned into the 29 car and since he was still alive kevin harvick took the 30 aol chevy
