Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone! This a is video of Tailslide and me playing a Fade to Black custom on Rocksmith 2014. Tailslide is on top playing the Rhythm and I am on the bottom playing the lead. This was the first time we had a chance to jam together and to say I had a good time would be a bit of an understatement! He is an awesome guy and a heck of a guitarist! Also, he sure can make a wicked custom :). We only had time for a single take so there are a few bumps here and there but overall I thought I sounded pretty good!
Anyhow, hopefully it gives you all a general idea of how to play the song, even if it is a bit messy in parts. As always, appropriate comments and constructive feedback are appreciated :)

glad to see that im not the only one that have undetected notes....!!! cause im sure 100% that Glenn didnt miss all those 4th string (blue) on the intro btw Glenn i have your version of this custom THANK YOU i love it so much ! Nick awesome job as usual !! great solo (i cant get any of those 22nd fret bend detected....9 straight miss)

Hey man, thanks for all the uploads, been enjoying quite a few playing along with you. Could I be so bold as to request some more songs from my favorite band of all time - Megadeth? :) I'm surprised at the lack of Metal songs on Rocksmith, even on KZfaq. Have yet to find any Opeth, or much Dio, or Judas Priest or even Korn :(

can you switch the layout of the fretboard? like how the rythm guitarist fretboard is how tabs are, and the lead guitar (bottom fretboard) is confusing as hell to me if im followiung along.

Bought this game recently. I could already play guitar to quite a decent level. However, I find the game inpossible to play along to, I can't keep up with the notes. Any tips?

Just slow it down untill you get it 100% and increase speed by 10% is usually what i go by.. Slow and steady wins the race brother.

I had a similar problem but if I wanted to play one in the game I just played it a bunch of times until the notes being displayed were already kind of stuck in my head.

Guys, I have 1 question.. does the game actually teach you the song at first, like all the other ones, or you have to play the whole thing from the beginning(cause it's a custom)?

Depends on the custom. Some customs have DD (dynamic difficulty), others do not.

It's a custom song. Essentially like mods for other pc games. People can make their own songs on Rocksmith PC and post them for other people to download and play them. You can't do this on console. It kinda sucks but I still play the Xbox version
