They should incorporate this in the actual songs. Imagine playing Purple Rain and riffing your own solo while Prince sings behind you.

I asked Paul Cross if you can use an electronic drum set and he said it will work with session mode. So guitar, bass, drums, ukuleles and violins all work with session mode that's pretty amazing!

I play Rock Smith as often as I can about 12 or more hours weekly. Loving it a lot.

I'm so excited about this feature. I go to a college out of state and had to leave my band back home so it's been tough not being able to jam with anyone. I know it won't be the same as jamming with my friends but it will give me more motivation to freestyle .

I just creamed. Seriously, so many good games coming out for the next 8 or so weeks, but this it the ONLY one I'm genuinely super-excited for.

I really want to learn to play guitar and this software is looking more and more like the way to go. I'm just skeptical of the cable you need to hook up your guitar to the pc. When the first Rocksmith came out, people struggled to get hold of that special cable, and there were a lot of criticisms about the lag between the instrument and the software. Does anybody know what the availability of the cable will be this time round (outside the US), and has the lag been sorted out?

does anyone know if in session mode you can put a song that's on your console so you can play along with it?

Does the chord layout seem backwards to anyone else? I'm a fairly seasoned guitarist, but I'm used to tabs where the low E is on the bottom. On these diagrams the low E is on the top. Seems slightly counter-intuitive.

When I play on session mode, there are lights moving behind the highlighted notes. Do they mean anything, is it recommending that I play those notes? Or is it just random lights?

Hey guys. The *ONLY* gripe I have about this learning tool called Rocksmith is the way the backing band just stops playing when you've been quiet for a relatively short period of time in Session Mode. I would love to see a setting where we can turn that off so that the band continues to play until we decide to stop them. Or even better (and I know this is asking too much), a way to tell them how long to play, THEN stop... as in a song. That would be the ultimate! But I'll gladly settle for a setting to make the band continue playing no matter how long I've been quiet. We could use the volume controls on the virtual instruments to control the intensity of the tune. But that stoppage really kills the flow and feel of any soloing. This "game" could really also become a great songwriting tool. Imagine -- from learning how to put on a strap, to writing a real, full song. That would be TOO cool. *gonna put this on your Facebook page as well in the hopes it gets seen

my session mode wont work...i put it on session drums and play for a while and nothing happens at all...plus this video shows pictures of guitars and drums that are in ur band and mine just has blank boxes instead of pics of instruments....mine is xbox 360

This part would be amazing if when you were just jamming away and started playing something like "sweet home alabama" and the ai realized that and started playing the same song. From jamming to playing the real some.
