There's a lot of disrespectful comments but music, just like any other art form just takes practice. A lot of people I have talked to think they could never be good drawers or painters but the truth is if you stick to it you will get better. This guy wanted to play "Crazy Train" on the guitar and he used RockSmith as a way to practice and learn that song. Now he can. Nice job dude, keep on rockin!

I actually learned THIS song on Rocksmith, but I originally started by taking a school course 2 years ago. It taught me a bit about the guitar, and classic style of play, including reading standard notation. I'm not saying it was completely different from what I play on Rocksmith (with a pick), but around 80%+ of the playing I learned is from Rocksmith.

@@SereneKhaos Wow I’m surprised tbh, I honestly suggest doing more practice outside of rocksmith though. It’ll help better your technique because you can hear yourself isolated very clearly. I started on rocksmith, then stopped after about 10 days, excelled 100x faster when I used just my amp. 3 months in and can play the crazy train solo, holy wars, tornado of souls, etc. Edit : Just realized you made this comment 8 years ago lol, you’re probably a god now so you don’t need to listen to me.

props dude. i know it way late and im sure your doing alot better now. ive been playimg for 6 years, and whats funny i just picked up a Randy Rhoades Jackson guitar with duel Humbucker pickups. plays like butter tbh. was thinking of picking up rocksmith just to brush up on scales and such. good rendition of a great song though.

yeah , good job , I has been playing some , and the truth is that the game awake your fingers/ mind connection , before the game I even could not follow three notes a row . My respects, crazy train is my favorite song and even if you play it 50 % is great .

Glad to see I'm not the only one this happens to. Your guitar is crazy loud compared to the rest of the song. I just open up tuner from within the song and calibrate and its fixed. I just wish I didn't have to do it so often! Rly good job obviously on the playing ! :D

I actually made my guitar noticeably louder than the song to hear exactly what I play. You can change that in the options. It could be done for all songs or one song in particular. (I believe)

Could I be so bold as to request some more songs from my favorite band of all time - Megadeth? :) I'm surprised at the lack of Metal songs on Rocksmith, even on KZfaq. Have yet to find any Opeth, or much Dio, or Judas Priest or even Korn :(

This is how most intermediate "pre-advanced" guitar players sound after a couple to several years of playing. My playing improved quite a bit when a guy in a guitar store showed me how to play what I was already playing, but with adding "life" to the sounds. He said the "life" is like a 40/60 blend of "string vibrato" and "emotion". It even applies to chords sometimes. Later, I saw a youtube video of Yngwie describing it as "your fingerprint in the sounds you play." Rocksmith teaches you how to play the right notes. But there is no life in it. Your life is different than Randy Rhodes. Not worse. Not better. But yours. But you need to put it in there or else your playing is just sterile. Nice job, now get busy.

Sure it teaches you the notes. But once you've learned to play it like the original, you can add your own life to it and make it sound like you, and not Randy. I think it just shows you how to play it so you can add your own creativity to it.

Big improvement from just a few months ago, keep it up! One complaint, where do you get these songs or how? I seen an LTD EC1000 used but in great condition for 600 dollars. ESP makes great guitars, anyway your technique is quickly improving great work! Peace brutha.

+carlos casas well, this is a custom dlc, which you can't download on PS3, or Xbox 360. You can only download cdlc on PC

What do you mean it's not working? You can't download it? or the video doesn't work? If it's the download, the site doesn't work anymore for downloads. You have to go to search.customsforge.com/ . And if you have trouble with the game not seeing the song, remember you have to have a program called RocksmithToolkitGUI. I don't remember where the steps are to use it, but i'm sure they are on one of the two websites. (the one in this comment or the one in the description).

Does the game actually let you "jam with the band". All the videos I'm watching have your part turned up so loud that the rest of the song is washed out. Is that just that can be fixed in game?

Yeah. His comes out like that cause it's custom dlc. The mixes of those are usually off a bit so your guitar Congress out at a higher volume than the rest.

befosocial If you can't learn the basics of a song in a day, you're tackling too hard of a song. Although there are exceptions. Something like Cliffs of Dover is going to take a week or so to get down for an experienced guitar player.

Those chords are actually based around a C chord, it just doesn't have the low root note, if the chords did have the low root note, they would be on the 7th and the 5th frets on the A string, which are E and D notes... but I understand what you're saying about it not being the usual ways to play the E and D chords, they're just variations
