He took like a 20" boulder to the face and then fell off a cliff at least 50-75 feet, which was tied around his waist. He didn't land on an outcropping or he wouldn't have been dragging them, so when he stopped, he took all that force through his spine and abdominal cavity. Notice the distinct lack of cries for help, or even screams or moans.

That's 'cause Mac has some toxic masculinity issues to work out & what's more, after the wake, he's willing to grab Riley & [Mac 'n] cheese it/leave town, since Typhon Mining was having him secretly monitored and what's more, having to lie to keep paying his bills led to practically the whole town hating him, Riley thinking he's a murderer when he's not entirely at fault for what happened, and his thoughts turning to suicide as a result.

So, Ethan going up to the old mining site & then to the ravine to live out his comic book fantasy in real-life really shouldn't have been that much of a surprise. In fact, given that this IS a _Life Is Strange_ game (which thusly means Ethan needing to be rescued from his own hyperactive imagination ought to have been expected from the very start), it would've been a bigger shock if he didn't go to the mine or the ravine, but then there would've needed to have been another way for Gabe to die, since the trailers promoting the game's release spoiled Gabe's inevitable death for players well ahead of time.

I didn't grow up with a lot of affection or touching so I'm really not comfortable with it especially like you said from people I don't know well and my grandpa basically forces me to or acts like I pissed in his cereal. When I met my boyfriends family I told him I really don't feel comfortable hugging people, he told then and they said "I don't care we are a hugging family" and did it anyway. Of course im too nervous to stand up for myself and have a bunch of strangers hug me. I constantly have my boundaries crossed and disregarded.

It was kind of a given. I mean, Deputy Sheriff Jason Pike wanting to take Alex (or both Chen siblings if you picked the "Avoid More Trouble" option rather than "Calling Out Mac's Bullshit") to the police station for questioning (so soon after Alex's powers caused her to viciously punch in Riley Lethe's toxic boyfriend Mac Louden's face after Mac basically assaulted Alex's brother Gabe for a simple misunderstanding) was already kind of suspect, since Pike hadn't even met Alex yet until that point, not to mention that Pike had no valid justification to take Alex in, because he himself wasn't there to see what went down, so the whole matter just degrades into a "He Said, She Said" scenario pitting Mac's falsified version of how things played out against Alex knowing the definitive truth behind what happened. In addition, Mac already has an established track record of being a toxic boyfriend (as Riley tells Alex later, "Ever since the first time Mac lost his shit in front of them, Gabe & Charlotte have been trying to get me to end things with him & after all this, I can see that they were right"), so Alex's recount of events would still come across as more believable than Mac's clear-cut bullshit, even if Alex is still new to town.

They meant minors, as in the actual people who do mining for a living, not minor as a term referring to an underage child.
