This was my favorite song to dance to at our very small town disco in Jackson WI. They allowed kids like me to line dance under the disco lights, smoke and bubble machine at the local diner until 10 pm~My Linda's Inn. The 80's were the best in so many ways.

I had a 68 Vette when this came out. Nobody would get in the car with me because I had this on a continuous loop for the entire summer. Still listen to it like it's the first time.

I'm still not sure how the record company was trying to market Rocky Burnette, but 'Tired of Toein' the Line', is a great piece of power pop and as good as almost everything else on the radio in the UK that summer, where it stalled at a lowly #58..Scandalous.

@Tom Reedy Yep. For sure. I had this record too. I was thinking today "It was a green label, but can't remember the name of the record label." Now I see it was EMI. Wish there were more of these songs and less of Katy Perry and others with no talent as there are today. Not much real talent, even on AI or AGT/BGT.

I actually remember watching this on Solid Gold back in 1980. I am a black man and I love this song. Rocky Burnette’s vocals are awesome on this song.
