I saw the anniversary performance with this cast, in 1991, with cameos by Patricia Quinn as the Usherette and Richard O'Brien as Eddie. At the end, a big birthday cake was brought out, and everyone sang Happy Birthday to Rocky. Cast members and audience members were all taking photos of this ceremony. I still have the photos I took from the 3rd row.

Anthony Head has just become my second favourite Frankenferter. He's funny. He's made the role unique to him and he actually managed to make a part work that I've only seen Tim and him pull off - the switch from the Floorshow to "I'm Going Home." That last part needs explaining. Basically other actors in that role, from what I've seen, don't transition in a convincing way between the two songs. Its just "okay here's the fun song where everyone's happy" "here's the ballad" and the result is it feels like a different character. I've seen the show live a couple of times and while I felt the same there, even professionally done tribute shows are guilty of that (I don't blame the actors because Frank isn't your run of the mill character to play but it does stand out). Anthony Head did. He made it work really well. I think its just a fact that you cannot replace Tim as Frank but Anthony Head closed the gap between other portrayals and Tim as far as I'm concerned.

Who the heck is Craig Charles??? You can tell it's Craig Ferguson playing Brad. His Scottish accent is unmistakable.

I don’t doubt that this was iconic for Anthony head to portray, and did it just as incredibly as Tim Curry, however because I haven’t seen much of this one, I can’t help but think of only Tim Curry in the role of Frank N Furter.

What level of production is this, because Anthony Head is Broadway level talent, and the creation pod looks awesome, but the rest of the set just doesn't look like much, and I don't remember reading about a 90s rocky horror revival

This was actually a huge, expensive production. It was the first major revival of the show in London and had a huge set - in fact some criticised it for being too big and expensive as part of the charm of Rocky Horror before this had always been that it was slightly grubby, rough and sleazy. This production was taking Rocky Horror into the world of the mega musicals of the 90's that were playing in the theatres alongside it. It's difficult to make out the set from this poor quality video but it was a huge castle set with a large, moveable staircase that went from stage level right up into the flies. Anthony Head was the 2nd actor to play Frank in this production and even Richard O'Brien himself played Frank for a little while in it. This version of the show then went on to tour the UK for many years with occasional appearances by Richard O'Brien as Frank and Patrica Quinn as Magenta.

I'm pretty sure that's Craig Ferguson, not Charles, as Brad! I also believe that's Vicky Licorish as Columbia, and Ivan Kaye as Eddie/Dr. Scott.

Rocky Horror used to have a grubby, sordid feel to it and this production evokes this highly " forbidden " atmosphere. The productions of late are too franchise led and tame.

According to rockymusic.org, the cast of this production was as follows: Dr. Frank-N-Furter: Anthony Head Brad Majors: Craig Ferguson Janet Weiss: Zalie Burrow Riff Raff: Tim Whitnall Usherette/Magenta: Kate O'Sullivan Columbia: Vicky Licorish Rocky: Adam Caine Dr. Scott: Ivan Kaye It was staged at the Piccadilly Theatre in the West End in 1991.

Ivan Kaye as Eddie and Dr Scott He is best known now as King Aelle in Vikings but played a lot of other things - hope the next theatre role will be musical again.
