What a fun video. We honeymooned in Estes in 1975 and have been there every year since. It was fun to see the sights through new eyes, especially those of your sweet family. Your video was really well done. Quality was excellent. Thanks for sharing.

Great video ❤ I had a question regarding parking. I am also planning to go in 4th of July weekend. What time would you recommend to reach by to get a parking. I wanna go in morning time and I heard the lots get full really quickly.

Thanks! For the Bear Lake parking lot where a lot of hikes start from, earlier the better. We were lucky and found 1 spot left around 11am. There are always people leaving, but I would not suggest going at that time. I would say go before 8am. You also need an entry pass. I would suggest logging in right when they go on sale for the next day and buy it immediately. That what we did.

I really like your videos. Which lenses do you use on you Camera. Is that the Sony Alpha 6400?
@crystalryanparadise
@crystalryanparadise 5 ай бұрын
Yes. That is the A6400. I have a few lenses for it. If I’m hiking where there is a lot of scenery. I’ll just use the kit lens 18-135, which is versatile.

I know dogs aren’t allowed on trails but do you know if they can come out on the lookout spots along trail ridge road?
@crystalryanparadise
@crystalryanparadise 10 ай бұрын
They can come to the lookout spots. I believe it’s just not the trails. Because we were doing some hike we just had our dog watched.

hi guys, do you have to pay for 2 tickets, one for your vehicle, and another one for each one to walk on the emerald road, or includes in the car ticket? and we can do walk and visit alpine visitor center in the same day with the same ticket?
@crystalryanparadise
@crystalryanparadise 10 ай бұрын
You will need 2 tickets or passes. The regular park pass which you can buy when you drive in to the park. You will also need a timed entry pass which you should but ahead of time. They usually sell them a month or so ahead of time and then more 1 day ahead of time. You will need to get the bear road corridor pass to be able to do the Emerald lake trail. These pass are only $2

Thank you so much for your video - very informative! What type of camera are you using: GoPro with a handheld stick? The footage seems so smooth 🙂
@crystalryanparadise

Thanks! Yes we are using a GoPro 10 with a stick. The GoPro has really good stabilization. I’ll use a Sony a6400 sometimes, but the GoPro is so convenient and easy.
