2 months late to the party. Went through a really rough year during 2020-2021. My favourite science teacher referenced this speech saying 'its not about how hard you hit, its about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward' mainly that conversation that day, and some many after that saved my life. So kinda saved mine

There will always be people who see themselves as victims and blame others for their problems; and then there are people like Rocky, who take their own lives into their own hands, and fight. My dad died when I was 16. He had been sick for several years with various health problems. He was also an alcoholic. But I have my dad to thank for several things. He was born in Europe and came to America in his 30s, so he gave me life in America where people like Rocky can work hard and keep moving forward. My dad was also a very hard worker. You don't get anywhere without working and my dad did rough physical labor to support his family. My dad was far from perfect and he had many demons in his life. He never really was a father to me due to his illnesses. But I thank my dad for all the things he did do for me. Rocky and other father figures helped me where my dad wasn't able to help me.

I love Rocky IV. Russia/Drago! Training hand made differently, in the cold, he does it with heart, determination! But eventually, Adrian shows up. And they motivates Rocky to keep going, for himself, family, and Apollo! Rocky V is classic, street fight, helps his son stand up for himself, and money/cars/houses = materialist things vs. family, heart, determination to do something. Even Creed 1-3 are valuable lessons for the younger generation under 40 years of age. Come from something and turn into something bigger! Earn it, fight for it, don’t stop!

I slipped and fell on the floor today because the floor was wet. My fiance came back from the store just in time and saw me on the floor. He reminded me of this video ☺️ I told him I need help getting up off the floor. On the first attempt I lost my footing and slipped again on the floor. On the second attempt I told him to play this video. I cried when Rocky said "It ain't about how hard you hit, its about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward ⏩" "Cowards do that AND THAT'S NOT YOU, until you start believing in yourself you're not going to have a life!" Those words gave me the strength and the encouragement to give it a second try to push up on my own strength off the floor. I bruised my arm and bumped my knee when I fell the first time. I noticed my left big toe was bleeding and I must have injured it when I fell. My fiance took care of my toe, wiped up the blood from the floor and put a bandaid on my injury 🤕 We played this video a second time and I didn't fall. It gave me strength to "not give up!"☺️ I pushed my body up off the floor and stabilized my balance to stand up and get on the bed. 🛏️ With the help of my fiance he pushed me unto the bed gently as I stood up and I managed to get on top of the bed. I did it! I didn't give up. I know this was lenthy BUT I needed Rocky to speak to me (and my fiance) to NOT TO GIVE UP! #BeEncouraged🏆

I've suffered so much in life from the moment losing a parent who never really cared to begin with them to suffer from bpd and psychotic hallucinations living with a permanent bully putting me down and reminded me off all I lose and the things I don't have to live and be there for a son to have him ripped from my life in an instant to raising a 2nd child almost single handely for the last 3 years to be left with no family's or friends justify trauma of the last decade and the daughter who keeps me going this speech speaks to me.

I love this speech, it's because of this speech I became as brave as ipman and faced off with 15 thugs in an arcade arm with a baton on my left hand and a parang on my right hand. Ofc I wasn't alone I had my best friend next to me who was welding a stool

He don’t have a son in real life that I know of but he says keep punching and I will. In movie land and he has a son and in real life he was blessed with 3 living children. 3 more than sone of us got so I know he’s thankful and fans are thankful for his motivation. Thanks Sly for making movies to motivate people.

Love this scene, & its amazing & inspirational speech. Very awesomely motivational. It also induces these vivid & powerful flashbacks of a long ago time when my father was imparting his built up experience & wisdom, offering me advice, insights & these sage perspectives that, upon reflection, made total sense, & came straight from the heart. Wish I listened to him more (there was a lot of Rocky Balboa in him, huge hearted, patient & gentle as he was, yet also very wise to the ways of the world). If I could ever offer any genuine tribute to honor him hopefully these comments of heartfelt appreciation do just that. He was a Great Guy at heart, as my father is very missed.

That's a very potent scene. Much wisdom there. I've heard and read wisdom before but the emotion in this scene is what hits the hardest coming from Rocky (Sylvester Stallone) to his son Robert (Milo). Words to live by for sure.

I've watched this scene over 100 times an I just noticed something. As Rocky is talking to his son and trying to get him to wake up and shake off the bitterness, jealousy and envy, you can see where Robert is really taking in Rocky's powerful words. If you watch closely at 2:53, his sons facial expression shows that Rocky is touching his heart and really getting through to him. Robert's demeanor changes and its easy to miss, but when you re-watch it, it's very powerful in its own way.
