I joined the US Navy in 1977. I was very overweight and so afraid I wouldn't be able to pass the PT test in bootcamp. But someone told me Just don't stop keep running! I passed and this movie inspired me to keep training! By the end of that enlistment I had lost over 50lbs! Thank you Rocky!

Where Rocky’s house was is in Kensington, North Philly and was my childhood neighborhood until I was 8. It’s still there. I do remember everyone talking about how they were filming a small Hollywood movie a few blocks away from our house. And it turned out to be Rocky. It was a rough place to grow up in the 70’s but all the neighbors looked out for each other and everybody worked hard. My dad got a good job in New Jersey and we left. Today the old hood is really rough with gangs, drugs and violence, but back in the 70’s it was glorious. Go Birds.

The Rocky 2 run always puts a huge smile on my face. Because from the first movie, no one really believed he could go the distance with Apollo. But from just how many were behind him while he was running in Rocky 2 just shows how powerful their love and support is to Rocky. From how he went the distance with Apollo. Many others are willing to go the distance with him. Such a impactful scene and I love it. When I hear this song when I go for a run, I keep thinking millions of people are running behind me, cheering me on to go further then I have ever gone.

The fact that nobody believes in him in the first movie is what makes it the best for me, I would say thats the point of the movie. I really like Rocky 2 too.

I'm in my 50's now and Rocky has been a part of most of my life. I think it was '78 (maybe '79) when I first saw it. I've felt that pain in the side many times, but I've always come back to 'WWRD what would Rocky do?' I have and always will love the Rocky saga.

The authenticity of the initial shuffle, getting into his stride on the streets and the real time struggle up the steps was just amazing acting and cinematography. Running in Converse high cut shoes as well…., Stallone was under rated as an actor perhaps but very few movies nowadays can transmit that much quality within such a short clip, those were the days……

I love when Rocky sprints away from the pack in Rocky 2. And that one kid obviously didn't get the memo to hang back and keeps pace with Rocky. Then shouts "Go Rocky, Go go go go goooooo!!!" as Rocky kicks it up another gear and tears away from the pack.

대부분 록키생각하면 힘차게 달리는장면만 생각하는데 록키도 처음 달릴때는 진짜 힘들게 달렸죠.개인적으로 처음록키를 봤을때 런닝끝나고 배잡고 헐떡이면서 내려오는장면이 인상깊었어요.

In my mid to late teens I was a amateur boxer I trained like this 5 am till 6 am running etc in the hood I got pulled over by the cops once or twice a week in the summers mornings lol Native American guy running 🏃‍♂️ in the hood like rocky I wish I had people throw me a apple or thumbs up lol I had a old man trainer Koren war veteran as my coach like mikey.

if u want something to motivate your own training ,this is it,and these days we have better training shoes ,so it should be easier,Stallone made a classic,without the CGI,and other gimmicks..
