Rambo vs Rocky! Two Sylvester Stallone’s goin at it! The greatest soldier vs the greatest boxer ever - but who would win in a fight? Well today, thats we’re gonna find out! And of course, I’m not talking a fight out in the jungles of Vietnam, because Rocky would just be killed from a mile away running around in his boxing gloves and bright striped pants. But I’m also not talking about a fight solely in the ring - because thats where Rocky can dominate. No, I’m talking a good ol’ fashioned, no holds barred street fight. So who wins? Well lets get to it!

Well, Rocky is a fictional character, but as far as I know the story Stallone wrote himself was inspired by him attending a real boxing match between Muhammed Ali and Chuck Wepner. It seems that Wepner was also a local fighter, and also refused to give up. If I remember it correctly, Ali needed the full 15 rounds to win on decision, and it would have been the first time ever in his professional career that Ali was knocked down. If all of that is true, than you'll see that the first movie's story was based on Stallone's own real life experience. I've never heard of Rambo being based on a real life situation.

With help, he absorbed the power of the Beyonders. Three Beyonders were able to kill the Living Tribunal, the second most powerful being in Marvel, and the Marvel equivalent of Spectre.

@@skaraturbo Rambo is probably a master of several different fighting arts and is probably effectively a world class MMA fighter with wrestling grappling technique, knowledge and skill in targeting and exploiting vulnerable pressure points, plus he is better than Rocky at using his legs to kick and using his knees and elbows as weapons. Punching is the ONLY aspect of the fight where Rocky would have the advantage and even then it would not be a huge advantage because Rambo would still have pretty hard punches himself, likely almost as hard as Rocky's.

Considering that Stalone said Rocky is equally skilled as Rambo, I think he wins in a straight fight but loses if weapons and prep are allowed.

I feel like Rocky could, nobody endures punches like he does and every fight everyone is shocked that he could keep going because his will to endure is so strong. Now is it as much as Rambo? Probably not, Rambo is like a machine that was trained to endure the most ruthless situations that is impossible for Rocky to know. I think Rambo would win but I'd like to think Rocky would put a respectable fight if it's hand to hand.

If there were a fair fight between Stallone Characters it should be Demolition Man AKA John Spartan Vs. Rambo or Barney Ross (Expendables) Vs. Rambo. Rocky wouldn't be able to deal with Rambo.

No. At specifically boxing Rocky wins. I disagree with your first statement but agree with the 2nd. I also want to add that any supervised and sanctioned form of fighting OTHER than boxing probably goes to Rambo as well, like MMA or kickboxing or wrestling. I think straight up American style BOXING is the only type of fight where Rocky wins, but Rambo would probably put up a decent fight even then and not make it easy for him, but when all is said and done at just boxing Rocky wins.

@@dustencross357 Not at just boxing he doesn't. At that one thing Rocky has the advantage. The rules of boxing deprive Rambo of his lethal martial art attacks. Most of Rocky's opponents would beat Rambo at boxing as well but in a street fight Rambo would kill almost all of them (its iffy with Ivan Drago).

In their primes Rambo, mid diff. His only advantage lies in one shot potential. If he doesn’t do it quickly and effectively, Rocky gets better odds as the fight goes on. Now at Stallone’s current age, Rocky is too old for his physicality to mean anything and Rambo’s tactics never grow old, so he’d win low diff.

Rambo wins. Rocky is a good street fighter, but Rambo is a killing machine trained in up close hand to hand combat. He just has to slip past a punch, get inside and grab Rocky and it's finished. He's fast, so it's possible. But in a boxing match, lol, Rambo is knocked out.

I'm assuming it's more of a hand to hand fight because with weapons even just a knife Rambo destroys him. I have seen anti terrorist soldiers fighting without weapons And the Commanding officer said strengh and size doesnt matter much at all becuse the body has so many weak points that u can hurt without strengh u only have to be brutal and be ready to kill. Karate,Boxing is sports they are not really meant for killing!

Boxing & Karate ARE killing arts! if you look back in the history of boxing, say, from the bare knuckle era right up to the late 1950's boxing had a horrendous amount of deaths! As for Katate, have you heard of Mas Oyama? This old karate master used to kill Bulls with his bare hands!!!!! In order to use the weak points of the body, Rambo would have to get in close, this would put him in ranch of Rocky's devasting punches! it would be a war, no doubt....but Rocky's coming out on top bro! Without his knifes or guns to help him, Rambo would be facing a man that has gone toe to toe with bare handed killers like; Apollo Creed, Clubber Lang, Ivan Drago. Rambo has never faced (Bare handed!) such fit and trained specimens like those above! I respect your opinion though bro!

I posted on another thread that withstanding a brutal beating where an opponent with boxing gloves keeps smashing you is NOT the same kind of durability as when a world class martial artist targets a pressure point with surgical accuracy. It was the IP Man vs Rocky thread and I pointed out that if IP man kicks him in the knee and shatters his kneecap he is going down no matter how much of a beating he can take from Drago. Its like a car getting many dents and fender benders and still functioning compared to having a crucial part of its engine damaged.

Rambo is a more well rounded martial artist for a street fight or a fight with certain martial arts weapons like the escrima sticks in Rambo 3 or a knife fight. A street fight is not just punching, it can involve kicks, head butts, knee and elbow strikes and wrestling/grappling technique. PUNCHING is the ONLY thing on that list that Rocky does better than Rambo and Rambo likely would have the edge in overall physical strength. At just boxing Rocky wins obviously.

obviously rambo wins in a street fight going all out, but let's not act like rambo doesn't have any durability feats. he could take a beating from a bunch of crooked cops, survive jumping off of a mountain on to a tree, he could withstand the freezing cold weather in the wilderness, he could tolerate working in the scorching heat beating rocks with a pick, he could take several thousand volts going through his body, he could survive being shot with a rifle, he cauterized his bullet wound without passing out, he scaled a huge cliff in the scorching heat with a bullet wound, he was shot again in the leg and could still fight against a Russian army, there's plenty more he has endured. rocky is durable in terms of blunt force trauma to an extent, but he has never withstood what rambo has.

Duhhh of course Rambo wins. If it were in the ring Rocky wins."But to beat me, he's gonna have to kill me.. and to kill me he's going to have to have the heart to stand in front of me. In order to do that he's gotta be willing to die himself." Trautman said " John is willing to die to win a war, if it means he has to die he'll die." Definitely Rambo is the winner but hopefully he'll spare Rocky's life in the process.
