I love how Bean immediately loves up to his doctor the minute she sits down. The adoration and trust is palpable - just one more beautiful example of dogs’ immense desire to bond with humans and share their love.

I’m a fairly new member and am grateful I found this channel. I just adopted a dog running around the streets near where I live. She’s mostly papallion and I named her Cricket. I’m in love with her. My 2 cats love her.

THank you Rocky for updating us on Bean and his surgery on his leg. I own Border Collies and I know how active they are and they need a lot of work. So, I am thrilled his foster Mum is a vet. Wow, what a blessing for Bean.

One of my childhood dogs was a Border Collie mix. My mother had no business owning him. She was an elementary school teacher and was gone 12 hrs or more a day. She was divorced with a teen (me) and a 8 year old. I did my best to exercise him after school but I had activities and when I was 16 I started waitressing. After I graduated and left, my little sister had been tasked with walking him. He would have been much happier with someone who knew what they were doing. It was long ago in the '80s. His name was Benson.

I had a Border Collie and my Mother and Sister In Laws both had Border Collies and they were some energetic dogs but the sweetest most loyal dogs ever 😊

One of my daughters and I once found a tiny Blue Heeler pup in the middle of a road. We took him home and tried to find his owners. No response from an owner, but many from local farmers who wanted him. A really wonderful couple took him, and I always hoped he had a wonderful life herding, which is what he was born to do.

If you can find it, look up “Muster Dogs” an Australian TV series. The first season features heelers and the second border collies. ❤❤❤ thank you for caring for that little puppy❤❤❤

@@sylviekinsjust letting you know, as an Australian and a farmer and a ACD & kelpie owner, the first season uses Kelpies, not Australian Cattle Dogs aka Heelers.

Yes they do! We adopted ❤ one (named her Bella) and she was such a Clown! She had a mixed puppy in the pen with her so we decided to adopt her also and named her Shadow. Bella corraled her and taught her everything she needed to know. Shadow lived 14 years and Bella lived to 16! Adopted dogs are so greatful and loving, we still miss them both, a lot!

We (couple with no children) had an Australian shepherd who dug craters in our backyard. We asked our vet what could we do to get her to stop. He recommended that we get her a herd of sheep. Not able to do that, we rehomed her to a family with 5 children. She was blissfully happy with her new family. She never dug a crater in their yard.

I have a miniature Australian shepherd and mini pincher mix. Yes they dig holes. Looking for rocks, etc. They need lots of toys and places to run , yes they love to play! They demand attention, and they are awesome companions. Giving them a job helps, they do nip while teething, and love to hold your hand with mouth. Mine is 6 mths, and she is a female. I need to get her fixed, but not sure when, etc. She has high anxiety, but is skiddish. I think it is inherited by the mom. She is attached to me, and is starting to play with my adult son. She will not let him hold her? I am a senior , and shredded her beds. She gets car sick, so I will wait till she is older .

Dear Rocky……delighted with your programme, and your big, big American heart, looking after the speechless dog darling! I’m an 82 year old Grandma from Australia, and this particular little dog, ‘Bean’, should be called ‘Blue’……he would be a much loved Australian cattle dog, on an Aussie farm , here…..being the farmer’s ’right hand’,! Have you seen the Australian cartoon series, ‘Blue’? Children( and adults) all over the world, enjoy his adventures! Oh my god!! Bean is so adorable!! Watching him chew that treat is melting my heart. I’m so happy he didn’t lose his leg!! Also happy that Dr. Impet is fostering this little bean. Dogs are amazing!! If a person went through what he’s been through, they wouldn’t make it. Love him so much!! Thank you so much everyone!!

I'm SOOOO glad you opted to repair the leg instead of amputating it. Dr. Jeff, the Rocky Mountain Vet (Animal Planet), has shown us that, with a little imagination and willingness to go above and beyond, miracles can be performed and limbs saved. So I'm delighted you chose to save little Bean's leg!

Scotland here. Thanks for the pupdate, i watched the video ofvyou taking him from the shelter and have wondered what happened. Bean got so exited when his foster Mum sat beside him. Kudos to the vets and staff who stayed, performed the surgery, and helped with his care and recovery. When you have a break or breaks in the bones like that the longer you put off the surgery the harder it is to properly set because the ligaments and tendons shrink and they are harder to set properly. Thank you Rocky for taking responsibility for him.

I’m praying you choose a truly responsible human/ family. He truly needs a special one as he genuinely is a beautiful but very challenging boy . I recommend to whoever feels like adopting him finding videos on what heelers are like, what their needs are etc. Do your homework please 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

He's worth every cent. And more. I have a super soft spot for Heelers. My folks always had them here in his homeland, Australia🇦🇺. I've been around them all my life, and they seem to be drawn to me, I seem make friends with them, fast. But little bloke Bean, us going to be a very handsome boy. If I was in America, he'd be mine.
