LeaveTheMark lets be honest. Challengers would ruin it because of the weight. Scatpack charger with some after market suspension, role cage, and a weight reduction kit would be fun tho.

True, it was part of the show. Heck in the originals, even Roscoe, Enos, and Cleetus patrol cars had the flag on the front bumper if I remember right. Show just wouldn't be complete without it.

@@armacham230 Here's the problem though,....although the Confederate Flag was emblazoned on the General Lee and at one point the license plates of the patrol cars the TV show never used said imagery to bring about the racism and hatred that fans of said flag like to use it for today. I think so lets say the general has 500-600 hp and weigh 3256 lbs and the 2010 charger like 250 to 425 and weighs 3700 lbs the general will definitely smoke it

Wow, to think this was the first Dukes related material aside from DVD bonus features that Tom and John had filmed together since the second reunion movie back in 2000. Granted, even though this is just a car commercial i honestly don't see how Bo and Luke would just part with the General like that granted how valuable the '69 Chargers have become in the years since the show was originally airing. Also a minor error but this General appears to have a custom wheel mounted shifter, whereas most of the ones used in the show were floor mounted.

There was an episode of Smallville in 2005 with a couple minutes of Tom Wopat and John Schneider driving a '69 Dodge Charger, looking just like the Duke boys but speaking as their Smallville characters.

They were all automatics on TV besides the one they crashed into the lake. In cab shots were auto with a floor shifter. I’m sure some of the lower model stunt cars were column shifted.

If the old 383 or 440 was getting a little slow, they could have just swapped it out for a new Hellcat Hemi. Throw in a 8 speed Torqeflight or a 6 speed Tremec and the General would fly! Cheaper than buying a whole new car and you still have the classic '69 Charger.

It is on the car they just try to hide it with camera angles but a couple of time you can see the white strip boarder of the flag briefly. you can see it at 1:14, also at 1:21 you can see the white boarder plus the start of the blue stripe on the right side. The front view at 1:22 you can see the white flag boarder on the roof, and at 1:30 They used more than one car as it seems the rear view near the beginning at :33 seconds it does not seem to have a flag
