As time goes by💋I first heard it in the movie Casablanca 🥰 As I've aged, and I see young couples holding hands and the young man opening up the door for the girl, I realize one thing💯. The world will always welcome lovers as time goes by 💋

BOY, YOU GREW INTO THIS SONG SO VERY EASILY!! FROM YOUR YOUTH?? YOU MENTIONED AL JOLSON'S MUSIC IN ONE OF YOUR INTERVIEWS!! WHAT A GOOF!! MY MOM WAS A HUGE FAN OF HIS!; AND MY OLDER SISTER'D GO PUT BLACK SHOE POLISH ON HER FACE, I'D START HIS ALBUM, WITH ALL OF US SITTING IN THE LIVING ROOM, AND MY SISTER WOULD COME BURSTING THRU THE SUN PORCH DOOR, AND "LIP-SYNC" (?) HIS SONGS!! OMG, NY MOTHER LOVED IT!! SHE'D ALWAYS ASK MY SISTER SHARON TO DO IT AGAIN, AGAIN, ETC.!! MOM SAW AL JOLSON IN THE "WINDY CITY", WHEN WE WERE JUST YOUNG SQUIRTS!! IT STRUCK ME FUNNY, THAT AL JOLSON WAS POPULAR IN ENGLAND AND THE U S., AT THE SAME TIME!! SHARON WAS REALLY GOOD AT HER IMITATION, TOO!!❤️❤️

Sorry Rod, still preferred you singing ‘ Maggie May ‘ ‘You wear it well ‘ and particularly the words ‘ Madame Onassis got nothin on you ‘ - Jamie Knowles eat your heart out !!!!!!

@@helencampbell2064 Yes, I’m not really a ‘ jazz’ fan, and yes, my dad was , but I think ‘ rock stars ‘ should move on, not go back to Frank Sinatra type stuff ! Have you heard his song ‘ On Brighton Beach ‘ ? I find that VERY moving cos at the age of 19/20 I thought I’D lost the ‘ love of my life ‘ when he dumped me when he took a job in London. Also find the song about divorce really gut wrenching cos my daughter’s divorcing her husband - don’t ask !!! - and at the ridiculous age of nearly 70, I’m divorcing mine !!!

@@christinescarff4920 Oh Christine you are funny😂. Nothing wrong with divorcing your husband at the age of seventy. Good on you. It was just the way you said it. Just amused me somehow. Precious little to laugh about at the moment 🙄. Remember 70 is the new sixty. You will probably be much happier without him. I'm sorry you have had so much heartbreak in your life. It's something nobody prepares you for when you are a young carefree child running down the street with your friends playing knock down ginger. I have never been a jazz fan either. I thought the song Rod sang was slow and boring. His voice is much better suited to Maggie Mae and the other hits you mentioned. Frank Sinatra had the voice to sing ballads and cabaret. The voice has to suit the songs. I personally didn't think Rod's voice suited that song. No, I have never heard Brighton Beach. Will give it a listen to now to see if I like it. Thanks for the tip.

@@helencampbell2064 The ludicrous thing is that I’m ‘ dying ‘ of bloody cancer , BUT a chap I knew vaguely when I was 17 and haven’t thought about for YEARS - not Jamie K ! - has literally ‘ popped up ‘ and traced me, AND, knowing I’m ‘ sort of ‘ dying, wants to marry me nevertheless ! AND he now turns out to be a famous millionaire ! 😂😂😂😂😂 As Rod would say ‘ true story ‘! 🤷‍♀😱😂🥳

@@christinescarff4920 I'm so sorry Christine. I had no idea. Is there nothing more that can be done for you? He must really love you. Are you going to marry him? Love story with a happy ending for you. Rod's song Brighton Beach is very sad and something so many of us can relate to. Just finished listening to it a moment ago. What are you doing at the moment? How are you coping? Still prefer Maggie Mae though. Was watching him performing the track on u tube yesterday when he was only 28 or so. Ronnie Wood was in the band. You will be familiar with the video. I think Rod became famous through pure charisma and sex appeal. Well mostly anyway but he has always had a nice gravel like voice .

I love Rod but his choice in women, a long list of bimbos who were only interested in his money and raising their own profile. The worst has to be Penny Lancaster. I can't stand her. The way she has accepted every TV appearance and TV show just shows where her priorities lie. Rod deserves better.

I think that’s VERY cruel- Rod’s no saint - blimey , he’s been around the block ! - and she’s given him 2 lovely sons AND incorporated his other 6 kids into her life, plus she has / had her own career as a model, so not exactly a ‘ gold digger ‘ then !

Butt-hurt Woman Hater strikes again! LMAO! Too bad Penny gave Rockin Rodney two (2) more beautiful children who all gather in love at all the holidays. Meanwhile you stare at bimbo memes, alone, in your mother's basement.
