Sometimes you forget how heavy the talent in Rod's 70s band was. Jim Cergan, Gary Grainger, and Billy Peek all have some great guitar chops, the sax is screaming, and the rhythm section is pile driving

I like that the concerts back then didn't have to have 10 million backup dancers and flashing lights and all kinds of distracting things. Just your singer his band and that great voice. I miss it.

fantastic band and Rod is the inspirational performer front man, gets the band rocking due to his excessive vocal drive, luckily for cocaine abuse as well, but Rod never forgot his roots...!!!

I`ve seen this program on Japanese TV about 1978. I recorded the audio part of this program into my cheep tape-recorder. And I listened the cassette tape many times. I remenber the chorus of audiences and Rod. Afterwards I lost the cassette tape. But this program is my wonderfull memory on my youth. By the way, the drummer of this back band was Carmine Appice. It`s also nostalgic. He glances on the screen.

I love his music! And I think his dodgy loud outfits and all the make-up is deadly! It made him who he was! It was a great image, certainly unique! He wasn't one bit shy anyway, beaming with confidence! Fair play to ya Rod, good on ya man. Great concert! Keep on rockin' bro! From Davey (Ireland)

I am watching this from Oklahoma USA and love it. Why is it that there is hardly any video available from Rod in his glory years here in the states? I look to purchase a show like this, and there is nothing!! I am a longtime fan of his, especially his period of what I call his rockin years 74-80 and would love some concerts on DVD of those years!! Love to see live songs like 3 time loser, drift away, ball trap, your insane ect. Some of the great album cuts. Anyway thanks to who ever put this on!!

I've always liked the 70's Rod Stewart albums but the reason I'm drawn to this youtube release is that I was in a thrift store today (middle of Canada) and found this bookmark, a ticket for his Blondes Have More Fun tour, 1978, at the Grand Hall in London. Crazy thing to run across, and I checked for more info online

For myself, this was the most horrible Rod era ever. I couldn't listen anymore. I loved the Faces and that rough, rowdy, rocker fun concerts and music that came from them. The slide from Ron Wood, the not so tight drums of Kenny Jones, and the great honky Tonkin Piano sounds of Ian. Never has it been the same as those old days when we used to run in a "Rambler" from theater to theater to see the boys. I especially loved travelin to the concert in Ann Arbor Mich in the early '70's when the original Badfinger opened and a Circus performed overhead and around us whilst waiting for Rod and the Faces to come on. Those were the BEST DAZE in many WAYZE.

I almost got into a fight theresandles r bacless shoes I wore sandles and the exit was very narrow. I turned around and told him to walk on his own feet. He got nasty and Ben had to drag me out of there. I was pissed. What a jerk, all he had to do was apologize! Like I said before, never ever wear sandles or slides to a concert.

What a strange and curious concert this is! It's no wonder Punk was about to hit like a meteor........look how the camera closes in @21-13, most of this very young crowd appear to be late teens or 20's, swaying around getting off on stuff your parents would listen to - it's very soporific adult, middle of the road dirge like, with a hint of rock 'n roll. It's not really pulling up any trees and @ 21-23, the young man/ woman in the centre of the screen look bored to tears. If it was me, I'd be climbing the walls to get out,...this stuff was typical of all that chart dross in 1975/6. Horrendous!
