Not a good video bro😐, it is creating negative impact on movie, i liked it very much, it wasn't that much confusing for me (i read the plot of that novel in Wikipedia before going to the movie) But i accept the fact that there is less progress in story, it is more like setting plot for PS-2, so we just have to wait and see.

I read the whole novel long ago.. and this is how it will be... there is a twist to every character introduced in this movie. Everyone who reads the novel will love this movie, but those who haven't read it will be like a movie bagane vundi kaani movie lo em vundi? The Vallavaraya vandi deva is narrator of the entire story so noram novel ilage vuntadi kada.. maybe we lost habit of reading novels... So people this is a great story.. It should have been a web-series instead of a movie but I think we need to give it a try.. and one big minus I have seen in this movie is the fight scenes.. except climax other fight scenes are so normal and ordinary...

Jayaram is also a spy. So he keeps peeping into people Aditya karikalan himself says Vandiyadevan to listen to coup and inform Sundar Cholan(Prakash Raj) and Kundavai(Trisha). Karthi stumbles on Nandini(Aish). She asks him a favour to give Trisha's reply to Aditya's letter. Trisha asks karthi a favour to give letter to Ponniyin Selvan. So he goes to Lanka to inform him about coup and bring him to tanjavur that's where the movie ends

Please don’t impose tamils’ cultures and their sensibilities on non tamil audiences. If anyone likes the story, they’ll be more interested to watch it on screen rather than reading the book to gain knowledge. Please don’t impose your ponniyin selvan book on Non tamils to read and saying to get some idea before watching this movie by reading the book. It’s rude. Nobody cares whether the movie review is good or bad, it’s about the understanding of the story and the characters for each individual. Leave alone the character names, the purpose of the characters itself has been very confusing. Bro I had researched about the novel and the characters, and had also started reading it before I watched the movie. And I like the movie a lot. It could really connect to it. The action sequences were not staged well, and the director didnt try to elevate the drama he kept it subtle and real. I wanted to see more of it even though it was 2hrs 40+ mins. And the characters were also not portrayed that well. I think if people had a little idea about the characters and the family tree of them, you would have enjoyed it better. Waiting for the second part eagerly. There's also a supernatural element in the novel which is yet to be revealed.

No movie should be made in such a way that we need to do some homework like reading a novel or studying about history to better understand the movie. If that is the case then the director clearly failed in engaging the audience through his story telling. A layman should understand the movie in the first go itself. After reading the novel, everyone gets interest, but that shouldn't be mandatory to enjoy the movie. The movie could have made better.

So.. from this video you are saying you didn’t understand or even try to understand what’s happening in the movie. Also, it was clearly mentioned it’s a novel based script but it takes place in chola period. The novel portrays main events that happened in chola period. The easiest way to understand this movie is by reading PS novel which is in 5 parts, kindly read it. The director has done justice to the novel by taking some main events from novel from Chola period. Please do not discourage this beautiful movie. This movie is far better than fictional stories or some randomly so called movies based on historical events who focused on vulgar songs. I hope you understand. Thank you. To simplify your issue with names- there are charts too( Google it).
