We have just recently bought on here and have just returned from our first ten day stay. We absolutely love the resort. Our apartment is lovely and we have a beautiful pool and gardens right outside our two terraces. Less than a 10 minute walk into Roda village. Two brilliant bars and a fabulous little supermarket. 15 minute walk to Aldi, Mercadona, Lidl and Cosum as well as other bars and restaurants. 25 minute walk onto Los Alcazares strip with all the bars and restaurants and another 5 minutes to the beach. Roda golf is so much better and nicer than the other inland courses such as La Torre, Altaona, Elle Valle, hacienda Del Alamo etc.

Looks a nice resort Shaun, many thanks for sharing. I hadn’t realised it was so close to the beach. You seem to be right about shopping outside of the resort. There is a LIDL, ALDI and Mercadona about 1km away from the entrance to the resort on the edge of Los Narajos.

Mar menor has 5 bars and restaurants plus a boulevard outside with shops banks restaurant and bars. We have a 5* intercontintal hotel onsite, 1 or 2 bed apartments, superior swimming pools and larger m2 properties. The quality if the apattmentsv insise are superior at roda but that's I in my opinion. Mar menor is a holiday village with a golf course, roda is a golf course with properties on

I'm wondering how busy the summer months are at Ronda. Is it like a hotel with children and all that comes to it? I read that HDA is like a ghost town in the winter months and that the resort is deteriorating. Does that apply for Ronda also? My wife and I are planning to move to Spain on such a resort and plan to visit some resorts in November to see for ourselves but extra info is always nice to have.

Hi, you will find most resorts during the winter very quiet as most bars and restaurants close. Only been to Roda once and wont be doing a revisit for the summer as there isn’t much in amenities. I will be doing revisits in August to some of the resorts I’ve already visited this year 👍
