If my life depended on it, it'd be hard to bet against KC when they somehow got better this offseason specifically at WR. They are just the gold standard organization right now with a great QB, elite head coach and best big game DC. The coaching of Andy Reid & Steve Spagnuolo is what gives them an edge over other AFC teams and NFL in general, there is not another coaching staff l'd pick over Reid & Spagnuolo in a big game. If they 3 Peat for ring 4 in 7 years they go down as the most dominant team of all time cause the Patriots 6 is greater than 4 but Brady & Belichick really had 2 different dynasties 10 years apart so the teams were different. This Mahomes, Kelce, Jones, Reid & Spags Chiefs team is just ridiculous

I wouldn't buy into too much hype for the WR room tbh. Especially with a Rashee Rice SUS in the cards (spare me the "wait until legal proceedings," there is video of him doing the crime and his lawyer admitted it was him driving) Worried about their RZ offence like last year. Small WRs, aging Kelce and a smaller RB who isn't driving lineman/LBs forward. I think they're going to struggle there again. And obviously the loss of Sneed is huge. Agreed on staff tho, Spags and Reid are both world class.

The Ravens were best team in football last year and the area where they self sabotaged in the playoffs with worse gameplan ever they fixed by adding one of the best players in history of the sport in Derrick Henry. ? but who did they lose? They still have Andy Reid, they have Spags as defensive coordinator, they looked rough offensively after losing Bienemy as OC the year before but now have an extra year with Nagy so that would make sense things could be better. They had problems at WR last year and brought in two guys who should help. Defensively they lost one corner but overall brought back pretty much everyone else. So it's not every team inherently gets worse but when you can point out that they lost big pieces (like the Ravens DC or the Bills losing their only two good WRs) it would make sense you'd be a little worse. For the Chiefs, it's pretty much just that Kelce is a year older and they already showed last year they could win without him being the best TE in football (and just being very, very good).

Wright and Cowherd's obsession and regular criticisms of Rodgers is starting to become similar to Bayless and Lebron James. The key differences are that while Rodgers is an all-time great, he isn't in the discussion for Goat QB for most people (nor were their Goat expectations when he was young) and is near the 18th hole of his career. Wright and Cowherd need to find better narrative(s) and new arguments. Wright doesn't like Rodgers' arrogance and ego. Wright himself is arrogant and has a huge ego. Fundamentally, when Wright looks at Rodgers, he's looking at himself in the mirror. What is the point?
@Christopher._M
@Christopher._M Ай бұрын
No, there definitely was goat expectations when he was younger. Regular season he has the resume the issues have been the playoff success. He really needed 3 Superbowl wins to be in that conversation . No one expected Brady to win 7. So if there is a conversation Aaron would need 5 Superbowl wins and probably 2 more MVP's.
@chestermallory395
@chestermallory395 Ай бұрын
@Christopher._M Rodgers had Goat expectations when he was young? Lebron had those expectations in high school. Some believed James could have been the 1st pick in the NBA draft after his junior season of high school had he been eligible. Aaron Rodgers went to a junior college before transferring to Cal because he wasn't recruited by many schools. He was only all-conference his 4th year of college. Aaron was the 24th pick in the draft and then sat behind an aging Farve for 3 seasons. Yes, he won a title and MVP in his 3 year as a starter in 2011, but was he in the Goat or expected to be in the Goat debate after 6 years in the League with that experience and resume? Yes, he was really talented. But, nothing about his high school, college, or pro experience or resume had him in the Goat conversation when he was young. That conversation came in his thirties, and by then, Brady was starting to put that out of reach; playing at an elite level after the mid thirties was uncommon until recently. Also, remember he went from 2015-2020 before he got his 3rd MVP while sitting on 1 ring--playoff success and accolades matter. If you'd said Manning had those expectations when he was young, I would find that argument more persuasive.

Maybe it’s because Rodgers acts narcissistic and arrogant without the winning to back it up lol. He won the super bowl 14 years ago. That doesn’t make him immune to criticism for the rest of his career.
@chestermallory395
@chestermallory395 Ай бұрын
@joshuahartman2555 Yes, Aaron is not immune from criticism despite his accolades. That is not the point. Rodgers hasn't played a full season in two years, yet there is almost at least one segment a week, even during the off-season, about him on both shows. Wright essentially says the same thing about him no matter how the question is fraised. Nick doesn't like Aaron. Ok, that is his perogative, although Wright has no credibility to do so since he has the same issue--the both usually think they are the smartest person in the room. What is the point of repeating that week after week for a player that hasn't played a full game since 2022?
