You mean the Re2make that took everything that made the original great and trashed it to pander to the new crowd who haven't even played it since? And 4: the remake of a game that took what made the franchise so good and tossed aside to instead rip off typical tropes? If they are to remake CV and Zero, I'd hope Capcom has the mental capacity enough to remake it in modern graphics but in the style of REmake: the ONLY remake ever done right. Anything else is a waste of time and effort.

The darkness that really needs to be brightened is tough as well to see anything. CV is a big favourite of mine, always was, so with proper lighting I want to see it rise even further, although I will miss the OG Alexia VA.

Definitely want a Code Veronica remake And if they're remaking 0, they might as well put out a 1 remake. Not only to flesh out Wesker's storyline, but to use the voice actress of Rebecca for both games.

I think it'd be smart to get out as many titles as possible with their newest engine they've been using since village, just so in the future when people want to dive into Resident Evil it all seems like it's within the same era, and shares a similar aesthetic. If there's straggler titles that don't really "fit" in, future generations of gamers might not want to go out of their way to explore them so if there's important story elements or points they want to get across, it's kind of important to get them all in now. imo.

Code Veronica has been long overdue and it’s a great transition to get the new fans up to date on the Chris and Wesker beef. Code Veronica was one of the scariest games in the series and with the fresh remake enchantment, this has potential to be one of the best in the series.

Why? The story was utter trash, and even if you modernized the gameplay, that doesn't save the weak story. I hated the annoying bosses in that game, too. I'd rather see Capcom do a remake of the first game.

I basically bought my Dreamcast just to play Code: Veronica. But I don't remember anything about the game. It's like I never even played it. So I would love for a remake. It would be a totally fresh experience for me.

I'm crying SOBBING. These are the 2 resident evil games I wanted remade THEE MOST! My only wish and hope is that for 0 they make it play more like 2-4 remakes. I didn't like the "leaving character in 1 spot and switching to the other" mechanic, i like to play as them separately.

And this was after i already had to restart the game from using too much ammo since i didnt realise i can be locked out of completing the game if i use too much ammo early on (never had this issue in any other classic resident evil). I didn't like zero either but Code veronica was way worse imo. Idk why people praise code veronica so much. It really does need a remake.

Yea, that inventory system was awful. And then on top of that, they thought it would be fun to make so many items take up 2 item slots. I hope they COMPLETELY change Marcus too because he was such an odd out of place villain in that game.

On top of that, the sales for the original RE games does not matter at this point, this is a new generation and fans (old and new) are clearly on the remake train. Re0 and code veronica remakes makes more sense based on earlier rumor reports that code veronica remake will share similarities to re0 where you have to switch between Claire and Steve and that each character will have their perks like Claire only being able to mix herbs. That would make more sense if both are being worked on at the same time, and could be borrowing elements from each other

CV has a special place in my heart, and I'd be stoked for there to be a remake of it. The only other thing I'd ever want is a remake of Outbreak. Or even a sequel. I think most of the fans would be completely on board with that, and it would probably get me to actually shell out for the online service of a console.

I had my blood tested and the doctor said I have too much salt in my blood. Probably from all the grains of salt I took from all those rumorvideos of RE. Honestly Zero and CV are the least “loved” so while fans love them they are ripe for a retread, especially CV being so crucial to Wesker and Chris’s arc. And Zero redesigned to take advantage on modern conventions and maybe some area redesigns would be amazing

Having a remake of code Veronica would be absolutely amazing! It's definitely one of my favorite resi games in the series from a classical standpoint. Dude the quote when Wesker says to Chris "ah Chris you were of my best men" still gives me chills. Seeing a remake of albert wesker is so cool. I'm hyped for sure for this game.

I would argue CV and 0 were the classic games in most need of remakes, each for different reasons, so I'm excited and hopeful that this is true. I definitely agree that creative liberties could be taken with 0's story, which is really silly and doesn't connect all that cleanly to 1. They can keep Rebecca, Billy, the train, etc but I wouldn't mind if everything else got an overhaul. Based on the work done on remake Carlos, I can see remake Billy being done really well too

It does make sense that RE0 comes first before RE1. They don’t want to make the same mistake like original development making Rebecca vulnerable and weak in RE1, wheras RE0 she was fearless and battle ready

I think I'm more stoked for the zero remake... unpopular opinion, I know. There's a lot of room with that one to do things drastically different.. Two campaigns, 1 for each character, new leach based creatures, etc.

Both of these titles are the ones I’ve been hoping for. We’ve had a remake of RE1 that I honestly thought was pretty good. Both 0 and CV are long overdue, and they were both amazing games when they originally came out. As an OG RE fan, I can remember what it felt like playing the originals as a teenager. I’d love for my own teenage son to get to feel some of that same excitement w/ these entries.

Only things I want is mechanics from previous games to return The main three 1: The Knife Mechanics from RE4: Remake 2: RE: Village's weapon firing mechanics where I can fire my weapons still without aiming and while crouching, it's helped my escape a ton of precarious scenarios when going through my Village of Shadows run 3:RE: Remake Burning the bodies, some enemies whould have a means to come back up again, and if not taken care of so that they won't get back up?, return worse as mutated and more deadly version of they're previous incarnations

Hell yeah, now it's Rebecca and the Redfields' turn. We need a break from Leon; Rebecca and Claire especially need their time to shine. Heck, give them more deepened arcs like Leon for RE4R; Rebecca's dynamic with Billy, too and how Claire will end up working for an organization like TerraSave. And Steve would massively benefit from an Ashley-like overhaul for sure LOL Dusk Golem has a good track record so this will end up being most likely true.

Not sure how they're skipping anything when nothing has been confirmed or denied about any remakes at this point, and even if Code Veronica and RE 0 are in the works right now, it doesn't mean a RE 5 remake won't come eventually. Not to mention, both CV and RE 0 came out before RE 5, and make just as much sense, if not more so, to get the remake treatment.

I'm getting tired of these rumors...So far, RE5 is getting a remake, RE1 is getting a remake, RE0 is getting a remake, and RE:CV is getting a remake. While I would like all these games being remade, all this just tells me that nobody has a clue. Its a given that Capcom will eventually remake all these RE games, but this does NOT tell us which game is actually under active development.

Nah brah. 'Remake fever' has passed, they need to get more main line stories done. It looks pretty freaking sloppy that the entire series from A to B needs to be remade using the same cloned engine. Give us new stories, new events and new characters. Not the garbage remake ones but actually current up to date ones. If they do, I don't want to see the remake cast in RE0, Veronica, 5 or 1 (that doesn't need a remake). They weren't exactly photogenic or look like their canonical counter parts. Claire has blue eyes and red hair.. where's the hair? Jill is part Asian.. now she isn't?? Even Wesker looked less intimating.

Agreed. CV has always been my favorite. Played through so many times and look forward (hopefully) to do same with the remake! That tyrant boss fight on the plane would be freaking awesome in the RE engine.

I’m so looking forward to seeing Code Veronica get remade especially since Code Veronica made me what I am and I personally look forward to seeing the return of my 2 favorite RE villains Albert Wesker and Alexia Ashford. If it were possible, I would voice Alfred Ashford and/or Steve. But hey, I’m excited and ready for Code Veronica remake

I'm pumped for both, especially Code: Veronica! 😍 It was always one of my top 3 favorite Resident Evil games in the entire series, and I cannot wait to see how they go about it. Hopefully they stay as faithful with it as they have Remakes 1, 2, & 4.

After the RE2 Remake and the Fantastic RE4 Remake I'm confident they can pull off the code veronica remake, especially since the team that made those 2 remakes are developing it, not too sure about the zero remake though but I'm curious on how that's gonna turn out.

Resident Evil Code Veronica does deserve a remake for sure. And, as a Capcom fan, I still dream of the day we can have a Dino Crisis remake as well… I know rumors have been going around but nothing has ever been said by Capcom so…. 🤷🏻♂️
