I've tried the 2TB SSD, I got mine for a week and suddenly it just went all corrupted. Jmachen replaced it though but not for the same SSD, reason is it's outta stock everywhere. So, they replaced it with the 512GB Game Card & a 2TB Launchbox HDD. I'm still waiting on the arrival. It's taking forevaaaa... Also the SSD that I've tested doesn't have any malware or viruses and is safe to use. Only thing is, how the heck did it get corrupted? I just restarted my pc leaving the SSD plugged in and that happened. Life...

@@jonchek154did you get your 512 GB SD yet? I just got mine but haven't tried it yet cause I want to test it for viruses or malware (also not sure what software I should use for that). Lastly, I disabled core isolation because apparently that gives better performance for games but I heard that's not good for emulators, do you have yours enabled? Thanks 👍!

How safe is to use these? Did you run an antivirus or something before using them? I disabled core isolation on my ally to have better performance but I understand that might come at the cost of being left unprotected against viruses or malware

I hate having too many roms on emulators. I cant find anything, the things I want to play are buried in crap I dont care about. Been there, done that. Now I only have a curated list of a few hundred games.

Totally understandable JMD - on these you can ‘Add to Favourites’ and just play our fave ones form there instead of continually digging deep into the almost 40,000 roms which makes life much easier!

Ok, one question, what is the situation with the Ally and frying the card slot with the cards? I have purchased my machine last December, the model is the Z1 Extreme R8 Will it also fry the micro card and the slot? 😅

Hey Yaku, it's BELIEVED the latest production models like your R8 has POSSIBLY eliminated the sd card issue but Asus haven't confirmed anything which makes it difficult to know for sure... so it MAY be best to do what I and many others do in putting our SD cards in a USB adapter (like one I covered in my recent ACCESSORIES vid 👇 kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bttjhpZo3buxY58.htmlsi=C4B4UY-2vGorlln8

Awesome Hunz, congrats on your purchase! As you see in the vid, my Ally's SD card reader is already fried 😂🙈🤷 I'd definitely recommend using a USB dock like the Orico one I use!

These emulation accessories already come pre-loaded with all the games! 🤩 If you're doing it yourself, there should be an option in settings to direct RetroBat to the folder your ROMs are in on your SD card 👍

im not sure to be honest but i think gameboy advance/gameboy color or maybe GBA emulators. I played them when i was a kid so i dont really remember well but i remember using GBA emulator on my PC to play old pokemon games thank you very much !@@PeteTalksTech
