I have been using ROG phones since ROG phone 2. Currently using ROG phone 6. I loved the fact that the front camera was in the bassel instead of the screen and also I loved the front facing speakers. Now, the thing that I hate the most, the punch-hole camera has been added to ROG 8.... Very disappointed....

I think it is not for middle classes , yesterday my rog 3 phone dropped ,and display became fully black now the repairing is around 12k, Which is high for me after 3years of users All series of rog phones are weak and bulky and overkill You can see the video of Jerryrigeverything he destroyed all rog phone But waiting for rog 8 😂 Edit :- services are also below average , Accessories not easily available in India (like charger , case , many more)

Asus ROG is not ROG anymore, ROG 8 is lacking the design theme of ROG series. Yeah they addressed the camera, but should have given the front firing speaker with all display only and front camera in the frame.

How are the speakers and macro pictures now. I'm leaning towards the 7 at this point. Smaller battery is a killer. Wider is also weird, it's already wide, so I figure it would be worse to hold. I wish they would put the screen thing near the camera. I use a metal plate for magnets and I just cover up the display in that position.

The speakers are now pretty shit, because instead of having 2 asymetric front firing speakers now you only 1 front and the other at the bottom therefore the stereo will be no longer be a true stereo, also smaller battery, and worse thermals and worse aeroactive cooler accessory than now only has 2 buttons instead of 4 and no longer has a subwoofer to enhance the sound power and quality of the phone and still manage to cost the same with less, and that UGLY ASS punchhole camera no wonder Blackshark are no longer making phones after this failure of the blackshark 5 and 5 pro with those nipple camera

1)the bezels with front cam and speakers were not an issue for true gamers, 2)6000mAh battery still gave more peace of mind. 3)3yrs os update is a must in this day and age, it's not like they're doing R&D for multiple devices like Samsung. They should figure out a better way to provide os updates. If Samsung can do it they can too.

If you're a serious mobile gamer, you know the annoying issue with slim phone while gaming. You cant hold the phone comfortably in landscape when gaming for hours and I'm pretty sure it gets hotter compare with thicker phone not to mention a smaller battery. Another thing is if you have smaller hand, forget about the air trigger.

I agree on the punch hole front Currently on a Redmi note 10 pro with a punch hole so miniscule it's pretty much ignored by your brain 80% of the time. But I'll be real, I want it gone. I've taken 0 selfies in 2+ years, the front facing camera is useless aside from face unlock, which I can 100% sacrifice any day of the week.

500 mAh less capacity is not something very important imo, 5500 mAh is still pretty good, selfie punch hole is probably going to be under display camera in the next 1 or 2 ROG Phones, but i'll 100% agree that ditching the dual front facing speakers is a real shame, The RedMagic 9 Pro is pretty much better (except on camera performance, of course)

First time i feel the video is biased 😢. Bhai bilkul bekar hai Rog phone 8 abhi tak ka it doesn't have front firing speakers+ built in dac + advance level optimisation for chipset in armoury crate it makes it unique in it's segment just because of to given bezel less design and a honey bee on the top i personally hate this kind of design and camera with not on par with other phones as well and comes with 1 lakh of rs . I feel it's experiment from Rog phone 7 or kia hi kerenge bhai hai tho 8th gen 3 hi 8th gen 4 thodi na ban jaega ye Buy iqoo 12 . I am saying all that things because my daily driver is Rog phone 5 and i love it .

I lost a phone due to water damage, so I'm always extra careful and leave my ROG 5 at home when raining or when I go near water bodies. Upgrading to the ROG 8 only for the IP68 would be good for my anxiety 😅
